About two weeks ago I had a check engine light come on in my 2015 GMC 3500 Sierra Denali. I just bought this truck in June. It has all the bells and whistles so I bought all the warranties necessary. When I brought it in, they checked the code, told me the part was covered by the warranty, threw a part at it and called me to come get it. Easy day. With in two days the light came back on, I called and they told me to bring it in the following week. No problem, I’m a drill instructor at fort McCoy so I couldn’t wait so I dropped it off. Originally when I was contacted they told me that it was the same code. But this time it wouldn’t be covered by the warranty. Oh this truck has aftermarket parts and that’s what’s causing the malfunction. But these parts weren’t a problem before. (They were on the truck when I bought it) but now they’re a problem. And they’re what’s causing the problem. First I was told I needed to ground the aftermarket parts prior to re-diagnosing the problem. (This could be done by simply grounding the part with a wire and re-diagnosing the over al problem) but they wanted 400 bucks to install this ground and then we would do further tests after that. None of this sounds right. I call a friend who is a master mechanic for Mercedes and explained the situation. Again he said doesn’t seem right. Seems like the original diagnosis was wrong and now they can’t call the warranty company again to try and say they messed up, so now they want me to pay. The truck wasn’t even test driven, I picked it up with the same mileage as it came in with. How can you be sure you fixed the problem if you don’t even test drive it. The engine light has to be reset and then driven so that the computer can have time to reset and run diagnostics. They didn’t do this. I call back and ask for an invoice in which she emails me one and now it has says a different code for the check engine light. I called the dealership that I bought the truck from and they looked up the problem. They said that they’re sorry that a GM dealership is doing this and that they believe that y’all messed up by not diagnosing the problem correctly the first time and now they can’t call the warranty company back with the same problem. That dealership is sending me all of the required parts and I will take them to Mercedes where an actual certified mechanic can work on my truck and it will be covered by my warranty. Absolute thanks for nothing, and a total waste of my time and money.
I came inside each time, very polite and respectful. I feel as if they just thought I was some idiot that they could get over on, And that to me, that is more disrespectful than just calling me an idiot to my face.

They worked hard to get the truck I needed with in my budget. Lots of telephone time, they came through for me. Very pleased with the service I received. Excellent service department, always able to make an appointment that fits with my scheduled. Have been a return customer for over 6 years.

Excellent service. The person I worked with was so personable and remembered me from when I called with concerns. He explained what they did to my car and told me they looked it over and everything looked great. I will definitely be recommending you to anyone who is looking. AND I got a token for a car wash. Cherry on the top of already great service. Thank you!
