Providence Place Mall is located in a convenient location near where we were staying. The most major brands and department stores are housed at the mall. The food court or the food hall, for you hipsters is on the top floor with the usual fast-food chain restaurants that you'll find in any malls in America. On a bad weather day, a perfect way to go across town, at least several block through the mall and ends at Rhode Island Convention Center.
Adjacent to the mall, a multilevel parking garage is available for the mall customers. Since I didn't drive to the mall, I'm not sure if there is fee associated with using the garage.

Providence place is a large, diverse, and centrally located place for shopping and entertainment. They have made great strides in their parking garage with easier to navigate signs and free for first 2 hours. I enjoy the assortment of stores many of which have remodeled and expanded within the last year.

Thank goodness this was a one time trip. So first two hours is free parking. Great. We had about 20 minutes left and we tried paying for more time. I guess it doesn’t work like that, as it wouldn’t let us pay. Kind of dumb to let you pay only when time expires, but whatever. So we decide to leave. By the time we find our car in the mess of a parking garage, we leave at exactly 1:00, which is when the time expired. I get charged $13! We were pissed to say the least as we already tried paying to add more time. Never coming here again.

It's a great mall for all your shopping needs. Love the new larger location for Lush. Unfortunately there's not a lot of healthy options in the food court and the escalators were installed incorrectly, making it so you have to walk around to get to the next upwards/downwards escalator. You do have to pay to park, so make sure you know the prices for the amount of hours you plan to stay. The parking is convenient for other events in Providence as they do offer 24 hour parking for about $25 with a nice location for local events.

Many stores under one roof on several levels. Be sure to note the level and numbered aisle where you parked as it can be hard to find your car when you are ready for it. Multiple restaurants, hotels and conference centers incorporated within this facility. In fact, the parking for the Mall may be a cheaper option for conference parking than actual designated parking for the event. In the heart of revitalized downtown Providence, this is well signed and easy to fine and to exit and locate your desired route home. There is also a 3 storey IMAX theater here.
