DO NOT GO HERE.
New to town, and I went to get my eyebrows and lip waxed. It was about 8:00 on a Saturday night, and everyone knows the mall closes at 9. When I walked in, there were only 2 people working. I was barely acknowledged, and had to walk up to a guy who was giving another girl a pedicure and ask him if I could get my waxing done (awkward). Little asian girl comes up, and tells me to sit down in a chair in the center of the salon. I have always preferred a private room when getting my stuff waxed, but I gave it a shot because I figured being an out of towner, maybe they just do things differently here.
Well, I wish I never had. I told the girl I wanted my brows kept thick, and she waxed these suckers down to little lines that are barely visible. They look hideous. Then I tell her I want my lip waxed, and she makes a sigh like I'm taking up all of her time. It's now only about 8:15, btw. She slops piping hot wax down onto my face (btw, I was red for over 2 hours, which usually I'm not), and PUT A STRIP OVER MY ENTIRE LIP. She then REMOVED the entire strip off of my entire lip, waxing 1/2 of my lip against the hair and 1/2 with the hair. Not only did it hurt like hell, she didn't even wipe my face off with a cotton swab after she was finished. She just mumbled, "You're done," and proceeded to walk up to the counter. After she finished the waxing, I noticed that she had only used one stick to smear the waxing on both my eyebrows and my lip, which means that she touched the wax stick to my face and then stuck it BACK IN THE WAX. This is a huge hygiene no-no. If they've got girls making mistakes like this in their salon, you can darn well bet that they probably are taking short cuts when cleaning their tools. Not to mention, HALF of my mustache is still on my face, which is what I was trying to get rid of in the first place.
I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. I paid for my services, and before I could even get the receipt into my wallet, she was out the door with her purse in hand. Too bad she cared more about what she'd be doing that night than my face, because they lost a customer for forever.
