I went yesterday and the experience was not bad at all for what your paying. The girl that helped me seemed confident in herself and made me feel comfortable. I got a wash, deep conditioner, blow dry, flat iron, and ends trimmed all for $14 And Cynthia did an awesome job on my trim. I have long hair and actually felt guilty because I knew it was a lot but she handled it with no problems. Good experience and this was my first time going.

I went for a manicure and pedicure. The students that helped me were very friendly and courteous. My rating is based on my experience with the supplies and equipment that these students had to use with me. First, the air jets in the spa chair didn’t turn on. I was really looking forward to the jets y’all. Second, the young lady ( a student also) that did my mani had to sit in a very small, and clearly uncomfortable, chair on wheels that had a very small table attached to it. Then she had to fit all of her manicure supplies on this teensy weensy table with my two hands soaking in two bigger bowls in the midst of her supplies. The nail polish from the manicure table got knocked into the water my feet were soaking in. I probably did it from my lack of elbow room. The students dont pick the school’s equipment. The work area by the spa chair is not very spacious so I was so uncomfortable trying not to knock anything else off of the tiny mobile manicure table. This is while having to lean my upper body over the side of the chair’s armrest so the manicurist/student could do my nails safely. I still had hold my feet in place while other student did my pedi. Needless to say my back, shoulders, hips and neck hurt during and afterwards from the strain of holding myself in the awkward position for roughly an hour. I only tolerated it because I was pushed for time. As nice as they all were, I’m sure they would’ve done all they could to accommodate me if I had been more vocal but I didnt have time for all of that. I'm also sure that if they are not proactive and change the equipment they make the students use on customers that request a mani and pedi in the same visit, then the next customer might not be so understanding.

I went in today to get highlights and facial done. They asked if I had been there. Before and I said not that location, but a different one. The wait was long but I was perfectly ok with this. After signing in and putting in exactly what I wanted done. After sitting for 30 minutes I signed the waiver and went to sit back down and only then did they tell me they couldn't do my services on me because you have to have a scalp test done. So for 30 minutes I sat there waiting so get me hair done and she waited until THEN to tell me that they couldn't. You would think they would tell you that when you get there so you don't waist your time! On top of everything it wasn't even a student who did this it was an instructor! You're teaching those people how to perform services on clients but you're showing them a terrible way to run a business.

I took my two daughters ages 4 and 5 here for picture day. They both left the salon feeling so happy and excited about their new locks. I especially liked the stylist who did my oldest daughters hair...I was very impressed with the stylist who is from a different ethnicity -- she effortlessly got my daughter's thick mane under control, leaving it shiney, bouncy and manageable. The stylist who did my youngest hair used a product that left a residue that I wasn't particularly happy about, but she still did a good job because she paid close attention to my daughter's request for ponytails, lol. I paid a fraction of what they were trying to charge at other salons....thanks to them, I wI'll now be a regular. :-)
