REVIEWS
Time: Aug/09/2018 (in the last week)
While I think the service itself is nice, there are a few reasons I decided not to give more stars. They really take care to do your nails perfectly and all the staff are very nice. The salon has a calm atmosphere about it, and they will serve you tea or water when you come in and give you a hot towel for your hands after the service, which are nice touches, but the salon is very very tiny and the first time I stepped in the smell of the fumes was very high. I thought my nails looked great, but 6 days after getting them done one had already broken. (and really it was only 5 full days after if we don't count the day of the service) I didn't have time to call the day it was broken, but I called to make an appointment to repair it the next day - my appointment was scheduled for a later date because they were all booked. I honestly wasn't expecting any of the nails to break so soon since I was looking forward to my own nails having time to grow beneath the gel, and honestly the cost was expensive. However, right before the appointment another nail broke as well. Now, the real reason I decided to take the time to write this review is pertaining to this next part. Over the phone I asked if I would have to pay for the repair and I was told yes, I asked how much because I wanted to know beforehand considering how much I had already paid for these nails. I was told that one nail would be $7-$10 dollars. But afterwards, the woman at the front desk (a different person) told me I was all set as the repair was free. I would've been happy but, of course wanting to be honest, I asked if she was sure. She seemed sure until I told her that I was told I would have to pay over the phone. Then she asked if she could check just in case. When she went to ask she explained to the woman she was asking that I had called to schedule my appointment within the "one week period" they allow - which I didn't originally know about - but, that the appt was made for the next day (because they were fully booked). The other woman responded that the day of the appointment had to be within this "one week period", not the day you call. That was a bit off putting to hear, especially since my nail broke even before I called. It seems like a silly technicality, and even so...I was only off by one day? Did they really still have to charge me in that case? The woman at the front desk apologized, but it definitely wasn't her fault or anything so I told her not to worry about it. The other annoyance was the price came up to $29! after I thought the max it could be was $20...so I asked how much it was for each nail and she broke down the price - I was charged separately for removal, extension and color (and I can't remember how much for each sorry). it added up but still...that wasn't within the range of what i was told to expect. I was already thinking I had spent too much on getting my nails done and hadn't wanted to be surprised by the cost of the repair and then for this to happen, it was just a bit annoying. I decided not to return here, but I'm writing the review because of the fact that as an honest person I wasn't going to just say thanks and run out of the shop when told the service was free - but then for that I ended up feeling kind of wronged. It wasn't the price I was told it would be for one and the technicality that she brought up to charge me...it just seemed wrong.

Such a bad place. Staff rude. Spent 1 horrible hour today to end up with ugly nails. Waste my time and my money. 90$ for bad nails. So disappointed. The làtino girl is so bad. The Chinese girl look so much more friendly and good.

Nail Sakura is very meticulous in painting your nails and does a top notch, professional job. I always leave loving my nails more than any other place that I've been to. I think that the price is a bit expensive but I'm willing to pay for their quality. I also like that they offer calgel which is great for weak nails to grow long without breaking.
