I went with my friend here to get our nails done. They were pretty rude and didn't tell us we would have to wait (which we did). The older lady that did my nails was very rough with them. All in all it wasn't the most relaxing experience.

I have no idea where to begin. If it were possible, I would give them a negative 5 stars. I walked into the nail shop not very impressed. Its oddly decorated, cluttered and just looks out dated. I didnt let that stop me from giving them a chance. I picked my color out while the old lady chit chatted as if I weren't there. She finally decides to get started on me just to see I USED to be a nail biter therefore my nail beds are a lot shorter than the average persons. She began making fun of my nails with the younger female co-worker, but I ignored it. I didn't want to make her mad before she did my 40 dollar nails. She began finding tips that fit, not preparing my nail bed correctly for the acrylic to really stick on. I asked for a simple coffin shaped nail. The shape ive got for the last year and half of me getting my nails done every 2 weeks. I stopped for awhile because my usual guy moved out of state so I gave them a little time to get strong again. As she was shaping my nails I noticed what she was giving me wasnt only coffin but square and rounded as well. As if she didnt know how to make the nails shaped the same. I know they never will be perfect but what she did had no excuse .These were the most hideous shaped nails ive ever had & seen. As she was doing my nails she was very violent. She was twisting my wrist ways it shouldnt be twisted and just shouldn't be necessary in general. She got hostile when I moved the slightest to readjust and would slap my hand telling me to stay still. At this point I knew I was never coming back. What kind of person treats a customer like that? You picked your career, at least do a good job at it. She lacks all manners. The entire time she was chatting and not fully paying attention to her work. She filed my nails so thin I truly thought they were going to snap by that night and I wasnt wrong. 2 days later 1 nail feel off, followed by a 2nd only a few hours later and then a 3rd. At which point I took the rest off. I paid 40 dollars for gel acrylics, their 2 dollar "mandatory" fee for using a credit card on top of her "mandatory" tip of 3 dollars?!? For a total of 45 that looked like I did them myself with a kit I bought or something. Long story short: if you have the least bit respect for yourself, avoid this place by all costs. Truly

I travel for work and have had my nails done at many other places. This is by far the best. I now wait until I can return home to get my nails done here ☺

I love Nails for You! They are always friendly, quick and my nails always look INCREDIBLE when I leave! Kim, the owner, is my favorite by far because she pays attention to detail and is so personable. I have recommended them to everyone I know who get their nails done, and wouldn't go anywhere else. They are definitely the best in Rockford. If you want your nails done right, don't miss this gem!
