If I could give this salon no stars I would do just that. I went to this salon on Saturday August 31, 2019. The day prior I called and asked if I could get small straight back cornrows on myself and lemonade braids on my daughter. She informed me I could come at 9 am to get them done. I come in the next day and the owner is the only one there. She told me no one else would be able to come in to start my hair (she was already working on someone) because they had stayed up watching a funeral of a African DJ on the television and crying. She told me if I waited she would give me a discount. I waited and then she started on my hair first. She didn’t do the cornrows that I asked her at all and I think it’s because she doesn’t even know how to part straight. When she finishes I told her this is nothing that I asked for and her explanation was it’s hard to braid natural hair. If you are a stylist and owner I think that basic cornrows should be second nature. I hated my hair to keep it simple. Then she starts braiding my daughter hair and I said lemonade braids.. horrible. She told me she thought going to the back would be better for my daughter because she can move it from side to side and the other braids would be too heavy. How are you going to tell me what you would be doing to my daughter hair?? Only reason why I didn’t make her take them out is because she had already started while I ran across the street to get string for my daughters braids and because my daughter really wanted her hair braided. Within a few days both of our hair was ready to be taken out. It didn’t last at all unlike any other African braiding shop. You can see where she added more hair into the braids. I should’ve known it was a red alarm when she was talking saying that they are only there 3 times a week because it’s not busy. She talks too much and the hair braiding is horrible. This shop needs to be closed down. I do not recommend this shop to ANYONE. Please save your money. I never do reviews but I had to do it for this salon. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not spend your money here. Not worth it at all.

I did my hair last month at Flore African hair braiding. The box braids were Very neat and nice. They really know how to braid and the girls are very nice. All my friends kept complimenting me on my hair. I still have my braids and they are still good. I will keep it for at least another month before taking them out. I will strongly recommend this salon to my friends.
Thank you Flore for such a good job!

I got my hair braided two weeks ago I started losing braids immediately I went back she reinstalled them. I am losing braids daily it is in her technique or the hair she uses. She talked about how customers didn’t pay her. The prices change based on her needs. People would call she didn’t have a set price for her services. She didn’t do a good job I will NOT return!

If I could, I would give zero stars. I have gotten my hair done at this location previously and I was very satisfied. However, on this particular visit the OWNER did my hair. She comes across as nice, however very unprofessional. The entire time she talked about a previous stylist who worked there (who did an excellent job on my hair) and how she did voodoo and all other types of information I was not interested.
Now to my actual hair. I was very specific with what I asked for. First of all, before arriving I combed out my baby hairs and slicked them down with gel so that my edges couldn't be braided, which I explained and she said she understood. I stated I wanted box braids with not too much hair.
The experience was painful. She braiding my edges unbeknownst to me. When I looked in the mirror and reiterated what I wanted, she told me that it would not look right -_-. But the damage was done. Then, I asked for a mirror to see the back of my hair, which she explained she did not have a hand mirror but I could somehow turn around to a mirror on the wall to see the back of my hair. I guess I should be able to turn my head like the exorcist? So I figured since I am able to braid myself that I would just redo my edges myself and be done. I was ready to go home by this time.
When I got home, I looked in my mirror. I have included the pictures in this review directly after I left the shop, so I shouldn't even have to describe but I will. She braided the front portion of my hair to the scalp so tightly that I could not pull them into a ponytail or move them at all out of the direction which they laid. Additionally, she braided the back of my hair in tree braids: If you are not familiar, tree braids appear as small cornrows on the scalp and then are finished into whatever type of braid or hairstyle you want. Tree braids are NOT box braids. They do, however, help the braider cut down time/area on braiding. So with my hair like this, the only hair style that could be accomplished would be to keep my hair completed down.
I called this lady and asked for my money back mainly because I asked for box braids, she gave me tree braids and had no mirror for me to even notice this until I got home (which I know she took advantage of). She did offer to redo them but I refused. Her method of braiding is painful and I felt deceived, I was not interested in sitting in her shop for another 6-7 hours.
This review is long and I'm not sure anyone will read this. I don't like to give people bad business...furthermore, I would not take the time to write this lengthy review to make up some lie. I could point out other things, but I digress. However, I wish someone would have warned me. I wasted my $200 AND I drove from out of town. Now I know to thoroughly examine my hair before paying or leaving a shop. Beware!

I’ve went here for the past 4 years and I’ve loved it.
