I chose Sweet Sunshine Nails for my FIRST EVER manicure! For years, I've been doing my own French manicure on my natural nails with tape strips, but it usually ended with me being unhappy and having to redo every week due to chipping. Tammie was my technician and I am very pleased with her work. She did it all freehand - it was fascinating to watch. She was quick, allowed me to sit quietly, and my nails look perfect. I've already made my appointment for two weeks, excited for some more nail growth to have it redone.

Where do I even start? I had an appointment with a lady named Claudia. Upon my arrival I asked for her, she stood there with an astonished look as if she was surprised that I was African-American. I inquired as I sat down If she does Minx, she replied "yes but Minx don't last on the hands and It'd be $65" (which Is ridiculous being as I've paid for Minx ranging from $50-$55 since 2009) so I wasn't going to pay that much for a Bad Minx manicure so I asked Claudia for the second best thing which was the new chrome dust powder In rose gold. So she gets started by taking off my acrylics, howeber here is where the nightmare begins. She gets started by removing my acrylics with a fake nail Instead of acetone or another nail solution causing me pain as she's prying them off causing damage to my real nails when she's done getting the acrylics off my nails, I'm left with jagged nails. She buffs and files them puts acrylic on the broken ones, when she's done I kid you not she used a Sunbeam home heater to dry them then when they're done she paints my nails then uses a powder creating not a chrome look but a dull sparkle look that I can easily do at home. At that point that was the last straw. I told her this was not what I wanted at all. The only good thing from this nail experience Is that she didn't charge me, so If you're In the Scottsdale area I recommend "Sachi Salon & Spa" you won't be disappointed I'd rate lower but Google won't permit It.

Claudia is great! My hair stylist recommended me to Claudia at Sunshine Nails and I'm so happy that she did! Excellent manicures and pedicures. She is ultra friendly and professional. Small salon, which I love. You'll love Claudia!
