I would rate this spa and my massage with zero stars. I was expecting nothing less than 5 stars given that it is a Red Door Salon & Spa, so the disappointment came as a surprise. The jacuzzi was out of service and based on reviews this had been the case for over a year. The steam room was also inoperable. When I went into my massage, I thought it would be a pleasant experience, but it wasn't. 1. The music that played was not soothing. 2. The massage started with my feet, which I have never experienced and after touching my feet proceeded to my neck and back.
3. The technician sprayed a substance on my skin in addition to applying oil. I have no idea what was in the spray bottle and after speaking with my friends, who also received treatments, they were never sprayed with anything.
4. The technician scratched my back. I thought she might have and it was confirmed the next day by my husband. The scratch is all the way across my upper back.
5. The technician had practically poured oil and something from the spray bottle on the back of my legs and did not massage it in. She let it sit before having me roll over.
6. There was absolutely no pressure with my massage and it wasn't relaxing. I found myself questioning what the heck she was doing!
7. I am now home and my skin is extremely irritated (never irritated from massages at other spas), the cut is also irritated along with the skin surrounding it.

The Red Door Salon and Spa is wonderful. My facial was professional, relaxing and made me look ten years younger. The makeup artist took the time to explain and show us techniques for a better result. I’ll go again on my next visit.

Definitely reserve a spot and get a massage! You won’t be disappointed, so relaxing. Such a great experience especially before you go home to reality.

It was a great experience from Roxann who welcomed me and made me feel comfortable while waiting for my Swedish Massage. Benji was the best for a great massage. I highly recommend the Red Door the next time you are in AC.
