My wife has been going to Salon Mackk now for the past 6 years and has been impressed with all the services she has received there from updos, makeup, eyebrow waxes, or colors and cuts. The salon staff at times has helped as a team to create beautiful and current styles with fashion colors and none of the damage that you can risk when treating your hair. Megan does something different almost every time and is always very happy with the results. Her stylist Rae, is very talented and willing to try out new things each time. My wife always get compliments on her hair. Thanks, Salon Mackk

First of all, the whole salon only cuts with razors. I’ve been a licensed stylist for 12 years with 8 years in the salon and I am shocked by this... there are so many hair types I would not recommend the razor for, one being hair like mine; thin. The stylist was pretty new, but it seems like all of the other stylists are owners and are booked for months out (I booked 2 weeks in advance). With great reviews I assumed all the stylists were good, but this girl seemed like she needed to go back to apprenticing. I can empathize, I’ve been there... new to the salon floor is intimidating. But then when I got the bill I nearly choked. Even at my highest point in the salon as a fully booked stylist in a more affluent suburb, I didn’t charge nearly that much. If she knocked my socks off with how good my hair looked, I’d excuse it... but it was awful. I kept trying to guide her on what I wanted, knowing exactly how to explain it in stylist terms. Kept hacking away and making it worse until I told her to stop, in which she pulled on of the owners in to fix it. She fixed it decently... but much shorter than I wanted. I’ve had all lengths of hair so I excused it. When I figured next time I try one of the owners, I go to book and out of curiosity ask the price (assuming a little mor expensive but I hadn’t had luck in finding a good CL salon at the time so I’d bend) it was 30% more than the girl who didn’t know how to do hair. Good for them that they found so many clients to pay as much as they do, to hack away with a razor. I have since found a salon I love that does an amazing job and at a reasonable price tag. But if you have curly or really fine hair, or get your hair done frequently enough to scoff at a $180 service, I caution you.

Had a great experience here and definitely recommend it! Quinn did a great job with my cut and long bob style!

I called and was told this is a "high end" salon. The ONLY thing high end are their outrageous prices. I had a young girl named Caitlin do my hair. She was very very sweet, but she is very inexperienced both in hair and in professionalism. First, my haircut was horrible and now I need to find someone to fix her horrible cut she did. It's uneven. She used only the razor and she told me this salon only uses razor cuts. I said I don't like razor cuts because it makes my hair frizzy. She reassured me that it wouldn't happen, but it did. Also, my hair is cut unevenly. Next, she needs to learn to not talk so much. Every time she told me a story, she stopped working. She could have gotten things done in half the time had she not stopped to talk. And lastly, they tried to charge me $20 for a consultation. I have never been charged trying to tell someone what kind of cut I wanted. That's supposed to be part of the deal. These stylists think they're the only salon around. There are HUNDREDS who won't rip people off and they have better training. Don't waste your hard earned money here.

Loved the girl that did my hair, loved the result! Chopping ten inches can be traumatic but she made me look so great!
