I was a regular customer at joys nails until my last nail job. I normally set appointments with Emily who never failed to leave me satisfied with her work. This time they had Chau do my full set. I had an old full set and I decided to ask for them removed and replaced. First to remove the nails he used an acrylic tip to pry the old acrylics off my nails. It was VERY painful. I then asked for a medium length tapered square. As he was working on my nails i was picking out a color and as soon as he was done with my acrylic and started filing them, I was completely unsatisfied with the work he did. He took it upon himself to make my nails not only coffin but the nails aren’t even consistently the same shape! Not receiving what I asked for was just one of the problems. This man left me, a young female VERY uncomfortable in the salon I usually feel welcomed in. Several times through the full set he squeezed and caressed my hands very in a unprofessional manner. The owner claimed that it was a “massage” which is a complete lie because I was NOT getting a manicure. NEVER do you feel all over a customers hands during a plain full set. I tried to overcome the uncomfortable situation i was in and say to myself “oh it’s nothing” . That was until what he said under his breath. He said “oh you’re too pretty for me, you’re too young for me”. This is something that should never be said about a 15 year old female by a GROWN man in a business. When I returned the next day with my mother the owner claimed that this was never said by his worker, again another lie. The owner, the male who did my nails, and another female employee tried to tell us it was a joke and they don’t mean anything by it, this is something that should never be said period and is not a joking manner. At this point of the nail job i was extremely uncomfortable and unsatisfied with my whole experience. I am very disappointed in the way i was treated in this salon and i will never return.

Typically good service. Not so much and super slow today. Not impressed with the outcome of my nails. Sorry, but 1 star at most.

Emily is SO good! This is always my go to place for myself and my family.
