Went there to get a license after having moved from out of state.
Everything was coordinated perfectly and I was in-and-out in 20 minutes!
Everyone was very friendly.

I made my appointment 4 months ago. Today was the best experience I've ever had at at a TX DPS. Everything moved quickly, effortlessly, and with precision. I double-checked the website to make sure I brought all pertinent documents, so I'm sure that helped. =)

The new appointment system was great. I arrived about 30 minutes prior to my appointment and was inside within 5 minutes. They had two outside tables: one to check your paperwork and another to do a health screen. We walked in the door and were with a person within a minute. The person who helped us was very nice and helpful.

State of Texas DPS is outdated with licensing / renewals and the entire process. please change the system! Automate things, be innovative. You cant run the system like this. We are living in 2020 not 1999.
