Westfield North County shopping center is great closed shopping mall for all season near Escondido. The variety of stores make it easy for a one stop shop. Easy to get to from the freeway and lots of free parking. This shopping mall has been updated to look more modern with natural light thanks to the large skylights. Lots of dining options besides the food court as well. Outside the mall in the same parking lot are more restaurant options. My favorite things to do at North County is definitely shopping at the Macy's and dining at Red Robin. There is also a fun activity for kids like play area, train ride throughout this mall.

Pretty decent as far as malls go. Some good anchor stores. Lots of good clothing stores. They also have a food court, plus more food and drink options spread around. That includes Elixir for good coffee or pastries, gelato, and even wine!
Outside the mall in the same parking lot are more restaurant options. I also like that they have a large Target store connected to the mall so you don't even have to exit (helpful on hot days like it was when we went this week).
Plenty of parking, right off the freeway, and they keep it clean. Oh, they also have a small train on the second floor that kids can enjoy a small tour around one wing of the mall in.
One of the better malls I've been to in NY life, I'm glad it's so close by.

I enjoy spending the day or even a few hours at North County mall with my toddler. They have two play areas he likes to go and release some energy. The variety of stores make it easy for a one stop shop. The Target is especially helpful when I need to shop and pick up everyday items. Lots of dining options besides the food court as well. The mall is still undergoing improvements but has come a long way.

Great mall! I love that it is an indoor mall, the only one I know of in SD and good for hot days. Great stores, and especially great for families. There are 2 indoor playgrounds, a merry-go-round train, and a family lounge. And a bonus is the espresso/wine bar in one of the center courtyards!

Love this restaurant. Service is always good. Food is awesome. Drinks are great!
But... I love the shrimp platter and they are consistently sold out of it, I don’t really like too many other dishes because I am picky.
