It was my first time at this nail salon and I loved it! My nail tech was super nice, was very focused on making sure that I had what I wanted, and just overall was fantastic! I loved the friendly environment and in general how great my nails look! Definitely where I'm going to be coming from now on! ✨💕

My experience was completely destroyed by Amy, the nail tech that started doing my nails. I booked an appointment for an acrylic set, and when I arrived, showed them a picture, which they said they could easily do. Amy called me over to do the nails, and after being seated, she asked me questions about the colors, which we decided together. Then she buffed my natural nails, and I asked her if she could clip 3 of my nails before applying the tips, which she did and then told me that she could just clip all the nails to prepare them, which was fine. As she was doing that, I made small talk with her, I told her that I had tried to do my nails at home before but could never get them to look good and professional, hence why I finally gave in and decided to make an appointment to get them done right. After gluing the tips on my nails, she asked me what length I would like, and I paused for a moment to look at the length and told her where to cut off. She cut my nails and began filing my pinkie nail to the desired shape. She asked me if that was good, to which I responded, yes but could I see a bigger nail being filed like my ring finger to just get a better look at the shape, as I like the nails to not be too bulky in shape. She then scoffed and proceeded to say I should continue to do my nails at home. I asked her what she meant by that, to which she responded "You should keep doing your nails at home instead, since you're so picky." I told her that I obviously have a specific design in mind, and that was why I wanted my nails done that way. She kept saying that I was too picky and shouldn't get them done in a salon then. At this point, I was very upset, as she was using the things I told her in the beginning of the session to demean and belittle me. I don't support any business or waste any of my time at a business where I'm not welcome, and where the nail techs want to complain and tell their customers to go do the service at home themselves. It's not my fault that you hate your job Amy, maybe you just work somewhere else if you're so hateful with doing nails. Anyways, I asked her to take my nails off, and that I don't want them done anymore at this salon. She continued buffing my nail as if I didn't say anything. After buffing my nails for 2 minutes, I asked her what she was doing, and she said she was trying to do the shape. I then repeated that I had told her to please take them off, which she finally started doing. After quickly taking the tips off, she buffed my nails to get the glue off, but my nails looked absolutely horrible, and it was embarrassing and a waste of time to leave with nails that looked and felt worse and more damaged than when I had gone into the nail salon. I went to the front to tell the manager everything that happened, to which she apologized, and told me that she could do my nails instead if it would make me feel better. I have no time hopping from one nail tech to another, after being straight up told to go home from Amy. As a manager, I understand that she was trying to make me happy and give me my nails, but I don't trust a nail salon that rushes the nail work, and has not trained their employees basic decency. I left this salon feeling horrible, and will never be back. If you enjoy rushed work, with no say in the nail design you are paying for, then Amy is your tech and this salon is the place for you. I should have made an appointment in the first place with my friends who went to Shades nail bar, only 10 minutes away. Even as a walk in with no appointment, Shades nail bar took me in, fixed my horrendous nails that Amy spitefully left me with. They were kind, took their time, asked me if I liked everything at step of the way, and actually made conversation with me without using it to disrespect me later. I will never go anywhere else expect Shades, and if this review is helpful to anyone in anyway, I hope it allows everyone to avoid a disastrous horrific experience from even taking place in the first place. The picture of my bare nails is what I walked out of Elodie with.

I have been meaning to do a review for some time. It’s been about a year since I started getting my nails done with Elodie, and I’ve always stuck with Alexis. I want to start off by saying that I feel like Alexis doesn’t get enough credit sometimes, for being an owner of the salon and dealing with the chaos on a daily basis, she still takes care of her clients with efficiency, honesty, and professionalism. When I wasn’t sure about a color, she would help me narrow it down. When I accidentally picked sheer colors thinking they were opaque, she would make sure I knew, and when I broke nails through out my time with Elodie she would always fix it with care. I am VERY picky about my nails because I am a perfectionist, and she always, always is on point. I appreciate her consistency and her bluntness. It’s rare to find those qualities in the nail world. Even if she seems stressed or distracted she still takes care to make sure my nails are looking right and I’m happy throughout the whole process. Even when I may be running late. It is so appreciated! We are all humans who deserve grace. You never know what people have going on. Some reviews claim some of the nail techs are not talkative, but I prefer it that way. And the fact is, not everybody is a social butterfly who has the time and energy to make small talk for an hour all the time, especially in a high traffic salon like Elodie. I am not a people person myself and I work night shift, so I am almost always sleepy or coming off a long shift. I don’t like small talk, and I don’t like being in crowded spaces so I appreciate when she’s professional and we exchange a few words here and there, and I’m not forced to talk about myself or my life, it’s honestly refreshing and it makes me feel like we have a mutual understanding. It’s comforting to me. I would recommend Alexis a hundred times over, and I appreciate all the hard work she puts into her craft. As long as she does nails, you can bet I will be her client for hopefully many years to come.

PING WAS AMAZING! A long day of working in the hospital and I have never had a better manicure. The shape? AMAZING. The color? Beautiful. So gently and careful to not cut my finger during it and made sure the color was perfect. Christmas music playing was the perfect touch. She made the experience so enjoyable and I absolutely will be returning!
