I highly recommend the Royal Treatment! It is the only place I trust for grooming services for my pup. I’ve always been impressed with the genuine care exhibited toward my dog when she’s here. The owner, Amanda, is a total animal lover, a perfectionist, and a seriously hard worker who takes the utmost pride in her work and business. While I haven’t yet had the need for her new boarding services, I will not hesitate to board my pup here when the time comes. Also, the new location on Lee is simply beautiful and extremely convenient to the LSU/ downtown and surrounding areas. I have nothing but love for this place! Try out Amanda’s services for your pet, and I think you’ll be just as impressed.

Bottom line: Excellent service, well-trained staff, and a new location make for a great combination for your fluffy family member!
PROS: It is obvious as soon as you step through the door that the staff genuinely care about your pet! Their minimal stress approach is the real deal and even our people-loving but groomer-timid pup comes home happy. Good styling, great smelling products, and their complimentary bandannas are now a fashion staple in our home.
CONS: Not really a con, but one thing to be aware of, while their prices are more expensive than a chain pet store groomers, you certainly get what you pay for. In this case it is an excellent value!
Note: I don't recall why I had originally rated it 3 stars but it must have been a typo since we've had nothing but great experiences!

Today was my first visit to The Royal Treatment and I was very impressed from the initial walk in to picking up our fur baby. The salon is immaculate and at walk-in you are not aware that animals are even there. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. Shameka the groomer came out and discussed his care and treatment and even made suggestions. Once I picked him up again she came out and talked to me about what was done. Bruiser looks great and is very pleased with his new haircut. A total different baby than from his visit to the last groomer. Bruiser now has a new groomer and we’re looking forward to our next visit. I give them a 5 Star ⭐️ rating.

I dropped off my furbaby at 8:43am to her grooming appointment yesterday September 18th. When making the appointment no one told me about their new location, nor did I realized their new address at the bottom of the email confirmation. At drop off I showed the groomer what kind of haircut style and asked her to call me as soon as I could go pick up my baby. My mistake for not being more upfront about the timing with her...4 hours later I called to check on her pick up status, the receptionist told me that since my dog was the last one for drop off, the groomer had 4 more dogs in front of her and wasn’t able to give me a pick up time. I asked her if there was any way they could estimate a time for me; then she said she would let me know when the groomer had only a few dogs in front of my dogs turn, but she never called me back. I called again at 4:15pm inquiring about my fur baby’s pick up time. The receptionist asked the groomer and she told me around 4:45pm.
It was my second time giving them a tried. The first time I had an awesome experience with the first groomer(who doesn’t work there anymore) because she was more informative and friendlier. Her grooming skills were on point and I got my furbaby before 11:30am.
I was so upset that my furbaby had to be there for 8 hours!!! Just to get groomed. Not to mentioned she was so thirsty when we got home also. The receptionist and groomer basically said that the reason she was there all day long was because I dropped her off late and she was the last dog. I understand, but next time as a business take care of your customers. Be more professional and communicate better by telling the customer at the beginning of service the timing, so both parties are on the same page. I’ve never experienced this long of a grooming appointment ever, my dog is 11 years old. Not to mentioned my disappointment with timing, but the receptionist working the afternoon shift was so robotic as well, please tell your staff to be more energetic and friendly.
Gave them two stars for the actual haircut, but took away 3 stars for their professionalism with customer service, lack of communication and overall experience.
