The place is the largest nail salon that I had ever been too. Rows of chairs for pedicures, and tables for manicures, and a large selection of colors for polishes and dips. But that is far from the point, so three stars for that.
I was helped by Hugo. Once we get to the table he promptly starts to remove my last set with the drill until he gets to the base. There is acrylic still on my nails, no big deal at the time because I thought he was going to soak it off. But no! This man takes a nail tip to start digging underneath the acrylic to RIP OFF the rest of the set. What trained nail tech does that? So I asked him what he was doing. He told me that he was taking it of. When I told him not to do that, he said that to soak off the nail it was an extra five dollars.
What? I never heard of that in my life. Needless to say I was mortified.
Once he was done soaking the acrylic nails off, he proceeded to manhandle my hands. He dug into my natural nails with the drill, the file, and held my fingers tightly that it was uncomfortable.
My nails on the other hand came out decently, but not for the money I paid for them.
If I go back, I will not see Hugo again. I am sure there are other, better trained techs there.

Christina has taken care of my nails for over 20 years! Onyx nail bar is so friendly, fast, clean and nice! I really enjoy my time there every 2-3 weeks! I wouldn't go anywhere else, they are so awesome!

I have been coming to the Onyx Nail salon for 3 months and Christina the Manager has always been polite and professional, she’s always very kind and helpful, all the nail techs are very professional. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I know exactly what standards I look for when going into any establishment, they are #1 in quality and care, I recommend people come to this salon

Omg ladies this nail shop is Awesome. This is a true retreat. Drinks on deck😁. I must say they were Delicious (Onyx Sunset). Im from Maryland and never seen a Nail shop like this.
I rated a 4/5 only reason is because my tech I wasn't impressed with. She seemed to be an amateur. Didn't put effort in the pedicure. I did notice the other tech taking there time giving extra care. I look for that extra deep rub in my feet when they are tense.

I heard about Onyx Nail Bar from a coworker last July. I have been coming here at least every 3-4 weeks for my dip nails. I have had a different nail tech each time and every time was a good experience. My last visit though was my favorite tech, I am going back today and plan on asking for her. I would highly recommend Onyx Nail Bar. I am moving in a couple weeks but will probably still drive up here because it’s hard to find a salon you like!!!
