I have lived at the Ridgewood by Windsor for almost a year now. I wanted to share a positive experience I had recently:
After returning to the apartment at the end of the work day, I noticed some water on the top shelf of our refrigerator. Upon opening the freezer I was surprised to find that a sheet of ice about 3 inches thick had formed at the bottom of the freezer. The ice-maker appeared to be malfunctioning and was squirting water into the freezer every five minutes. Having lived in houses until this point panic started to set in. How much would this cost? What damage could be done? How quickly could the logistics of getting a repair technician dispatched be negotiated? I called the maintenance line, explained the issue as best I could, and noted that I believed it was an emergency. The Help Desk operator listened and said someone would be dispatched as soon as possible. To my utter shock Ronny (sic) knocked on our door within 10 minutes. He was pleasant, polite, and diagnosed the issue almost immediately (a solenoid failure). Ronny then shut off the water to the fridge and explained that he would need to come back the next day to complete the repair. I conveyed that we would be at work, which he said was no problem and that we could expect the fridge to be repaired by the time we got home. Upon arriving home the next day the ice-maker was functioning properly and a note had been left detailing the repairs made.
I think it is self-evident that there are trade-offs between living in a house or an apartment. One notable positive about the living at the Ridgewood is that I do not have to stress about appliance failures and the cost and logistics of subsequent repairs. The entire process was simple, expedient, and thorough.
Thank you team Ridgewood and a special thank you to Ronny for his short response time and for being an all around great guy!

One of the best place to live in the DMV area! The staff, Amanda and the Property manager, Maysa, are class "A" professionals. They have treated us like family. Their care and energy shows in every action. Look no further when you need to live in a quite, luxury and affordable home.

I've been living at The Ridgewood for the past two years, and I couldn't be happier! The associates in the leasing office are extremely helpful and attentive. I had trouble finding a new roommate for my prior Ridgewood unit's lease renewal, and Amanda helped me find a solution by showing me the ADU program that Fairfax County offers. This helped me to have a place of my very own, and I just renewed my lease for another year!
The Ridgewood is conveniently located at the intersection of Lee Highway and Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, with nearby shopping centers such as Fair Oaks Mall, Fair Lakes Shopping Center, and Fairfax Corner. If you want to go into D.C., the Route 66 ramp is less than 0.5 miles away, and the Vienna Metro Station is just 10 minutes away by car. The Ridgewood is also on the Metro Bus Route, as well as George Mason's Bus Route!

Stay away from this place if you have to wake up early for work. Been here for 3 months so far and the fire alarm has gone off twice already between midnight and 5am for 30 mins at a time. Speaking with other tenants it seems it has been going on for months now.

It's sad that there have been fake reviews added on here recently to compensate for the real ones. Management is mostly friendly (with one current exception), but lazy. The most competent members of the previous staff have left. The community is extremely noisy given the poor build. It has become infested with children. Kids running around and screaming at all hours in the courtyard as if it's a playground, and in the afternoons and evenings all through the hallways. It is pet friendly, but so friendly that management ignores dogs barking for hours waiting for their owners to come home. Best advice: this place is a turd painted gold. Stay away.
Waits for disingenuous, canned response...
