This is the place you want to be if you are as picky as I am about my haircut and especially color! I've now decided that, after having been here a few times, I NEVER leave disappointed! Ever! Before each visit, my appointment date & time are automatically reminded well in advance to my cell phone calendar; I've never been kept waiting; they use the most wonderful AVEDA products on you & your hair, the music is great AND they offer red & white wine; coffee, tea or filtered water in elegant glassware. They make my visit comfortable, happy & I always leave relaxed while feeling absolutely beautiful!I It's such a pleasant atmosphere and experience. Marcia does my hair & she has a bubbly attitude, wearing a perfectly polished rich shade of red lipstick along with a glowing smile. Do I like this place? Absolutely! Would I recommend Balance Spa? Absolutely! You will never find a better place where the personnel are genuine and professional. KUDOS AGAIN to BALANCE SPA for helping me feel pretty!! Thanks to everyone at BALANCE SPA for making it such a fun place to relax and unwind. Book EARLY!

This salon is HORRIBLE! Worst experience I have EVER had at any hair salon. The staff come off very friendly and courteous at first. I was a loyal customer paying to get my hair colored and highlighted and cut and ended up never liking it. But I stayed because I thought the staff was so friendly. BOY was I wrong. I ended up in the hospital for two weeks with no cell phone and no idea of what their number was off the top of my head. I had my mother come into the hospital, from WORK, just to bring me my cell so I could call the day before to let them know the circumstances. The receptionist PROMISED up and down, even sideways, that there would be cancelation fee because it was the day before and extenuating circumstances. So I reschedule. The hair dresser comes up to me and has the nerve to give me a lecture on why I need to be responsible for the late fee. She knew the receptionist told me that wouldn’t happen but she said it didn’t matter and they would either make me walk out without a cut or pay the fee. I have never been so humiliated in my LIFE! I explained the whole hospital situation and she shrugged me off. Well let me tell you they lost a very high paying, high tipping customer over their EXTREME lack of professionalism, courtesy, manners, and just flat out not being decent human beings. I was treated like this by 3 stylists. If you go there don’t expect the sweet front they put on to continue through your time there. I would rather cut my own hair than step foot in that place again. And I’m not some competing salon just trying to post a bad review. I work with children at an inpatient mental health hospital as a case manager so I have a big heart and a lot of kindness to offer. It just really is upsetting when people treat you the complete opposite way you treat them. I wish I could give no stars!

I am new to the Tampa Bay area, so naturally I was nervous about finding a good salon and a stylist that I can trust to take care of my hair. After weeks of research, I decided to go to Balance Salon and Spa. I called and was cheerfully greeted by a wonderful receptionist who got me in that day! From the moment I walked into the salon, I felt welcomed and appreciated as a new client and as a person. Clarissa was my stylist and I have to say that she is one of the most thorough and and talented stylists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She took her time and explained the entire process to me and allowed me to give her feed back about exactly what I wanted. She is very sweet and funny and easy to talk to. It was truly a pleasure to sit in her chair and let her make my hair absolutely beautiful. I am 100% pleased with my entire experience. The Aveda Salon experience is unlike any other. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The stylist took the time to listen to what I want and made a plan for my hair based on that. She was friendly and helpful! I am very happy with my hair and I feel so great after cutting it short! Before and after pics were fun, too!

Katie was awesome as always! We’re working on growing my hair out and it’s going great. She’s the first hair dresser that I’ve had who understands the concept “just the ends” haha
