Yorktown Nail operates across the street from my apt, so I first gave them a try when I moved back to the neighborhood last September and again this past weekend. My 1st visit left a lot to be desired and was on par with my experience this weekend. While the owner tries to give her "underlings" an opportunity to do their job, she jumps in at every chance to scold them of their indecrecision, which clearly is based on a lack of experience given.. bottom line, I feel like i'm in beauty school training. She micromanages every move, which made me feel uncomfortable. The girls are all really nice and my nails came out good, but their not given opportunities without the iron fist steps away, who in reality should be overseeing the cleanliness of the salon..

I hate it because they charge "xtra" services without any warning. The big surprise is at the end. Don't be fooled by their smiles.
