I walked into the salon and the male at the counter told me to take a seat for my fill. I asked "who" was going to do my nails and he said he would do it. I asked it the woman in the office could do my nails and he said no. I started walking to his chair and he told me to get out. OMG, I have NEVER in my life been thrown out of a business. I asked him why he was throwing me out, he said, "because you don't want me to do your nails for you". I told him that I prefer a woman to so my nails because men tend to be too rough, but if he is the only one here I was going to have them done.
I reminded him that even after he said she could not do my nails, I still began walking to his chair. I wasn't fussy or complaining, I just have a preference. Even after all that, he told me to leave. I am the most calm person you ever want to meet. I walked out but walked back in because I was in such shock that I had been thrown out.
I asked, "Are you telling me that I am not allowed to have preference or ask for a specific person here?" He said "Yes, please just get out". I said, "Does it matter to you that you are losing a customer?" I explained that I have come into the shop several times and the same male tech usually does my nails, so if he can do it; Ican take a chance with the man behind the counter but I can't now because I was asked to leave.
The man behind the counter then said he could do my nails however at this point, I could not move forward because we were both disturbed and I was afraid he would take it out on my nails.
At the end of the day I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They seem to be quick to judge and unreasonable to work with. It is hard to understand why because as I google "nail salons near me" there are at least 5 just within walking distance. Try and have a good day by not coming here.

They need to retire. I’ve been here a few times and some days were ok, meanwhile others for below average. The employees here have lousy attitudes, especially the older man in their. I’ve given up on Kinston nail shops.

They do an okay job on nails, particularly full sets. Just ok. But they are rude. I haven’t been here since last year, and have no plans on returning.
