I have been to this salon a total of two times, though I’ve had three appointments there. My first appointment went well. I needed a color corrective treatment and I was satisfied with their ability to get me an appointment quickly and with the final product of the service.
My second appointment was at 10 am. I, along with 5 other clients entered the salon at 10. The front desk associate was there but no one else showed up until about 10:20. To put it into perspective, my stylists second appointment client had shown up before my service had even begun. I was here for a cut, my hair was cut dry, no offer for shampooing. It was clear that my appointment was being rushed. In addition, my stylists hands smelled like cigarettes which was offputting. I did not feel my haircut was up to expectations. It was rushed and the end result indicated a lack of skill/care.
Still, I tried to give the place another shot. I scheduled an appointment and asked for as early in the morning as possible. I was told 10 am...again. The salon advertises that they are open at 9 am...they are NOT. I’ve never had an appointment before 10am and each time I arrive at 10, the door is locked. This time was no exception. I arrived at the salon at 9:50 am. Door was locked. I waited in my car until 10:20. No one ever showed up. Door was still locked, lights off inside.
I left the salon at 10:20. Never heard from them. No apology. No follow up. They just completely blew it off. I will no longer be bringing my business to this establishment.
The salon looks nice and, as a new client, you would be fooled into having high expectations. However, the customer service and quality of service is subpar. Truly a disappointment.

Devin the massage therapist is such a blessing!!! You must check him out and request the hot stone massage. I promise you’ll never use another one.

Ann is a professional stylist and phenomenal with her work. She has been doing my hair for a few years now and I’m happy with the results. She gives expert advice when I want to do something different and sometimes not in my best interest for my hair. Ann’s awesome and I can’t wait for God to bring her into her own beauty salon business. It will be well deserved!

This place is remarkable! You get the consummate experience when you come to Fifth Ave. I got a massage and my hair done on the same day. The staff is exceptionally helpful and everyone has a good disposition. I originally came in to get a blow out but when I walked in I knew also that my back and shoulders were extremely stiff and were in terrible condition. If you are interested in getting a massage, I would highly recommend coming to see their resident massage therapist Delvin. He is exceptional! It was the best massage I have had in a while. Also, I highly recommend their stylist Ann. She has been doing for hair for a while now and I am always pleased with the results. Also this place is aesthetically pleasing and the decor is très chic. Hands down, this spot is the joint! Highly recommend it.
