i wanted to share how much I loved my experience here at this salon! Being new to McAllen I had no idea where to go for my traditional cut/color and on a whim ended up at A Virtuous Salon. Sondra did my hair and she was amazing!! She spent tons of time with me discussing different options for my hair and style and what would look best for me. My hair ended up looking great thanks to her! I usually don't write reviews, but since i used them to decide which salon to go to i wanted to share my own! A Virtuous Salon is amazing and I recommend her 100 percent

I have lived in the valley for 4 years, and Sondra has been my stylist for about 3.5. It took me awhile to find her, but I'm so glad that I did. She does an excellent job with my cut and color every single time. She also works me in if I need something done last minute, and her prices are very reasonable.
I would definitely recommend this salon. Sondra is an excellent stylist.

This salon is the best I have gone to. Sondra always leaves me looking like a million bucks. She takes great pride in what she does and really does listen to what you want. She always recommends the best products and is always attentive. Never rushed and takes the time to know you as well. One of the best stylist that I have ever had. Don't plan on trading her anytime soon.

In general, it's really hard to find a good hair dresser and Sondra does beyond an excellent job, so amazing that I no longer go back to the NYC area to get my hair done, and my mother comes 2000 miles to go to her. My mom's hair always looks beautiful after cut and color. She also gives a wonderful perm.
I highly recommend, wonderful hair dresser.

I was considering getting highlights in my hair. I walked into to only ask for information and she was kind enough to offer me just that but I ended up sitting in the chair and letting her do it on a whim. She did the balayage (hair painting) technique. I have soft black hair and she decided not to bleach but directly use color. I asked for a shade of brown and since it was my first time I wanted it to be very very subtle. She said it would last 3-6 months. I wash my hair every other day. It's been 6 months and the color is still there. A lot of my friends have only begun noticing it! Thank you
