Very nice staff. I walked in and they were able to get me in for a manicure right away - no wait. Great selection and quality of work. Location is very convenient if you're staying around Times Square and need to get your nails done. Prices were very good.

I actually have never had a more unpleasant experience at a salon. I don't go all the time, but I do love going to salons and especially getting my nails done. Unfortunately the staff member doing my nails was rude and very demeaning to me. She also seemed to be in charge. She didn't speak English or explain any of their manicure options, but she was really forceful and rushed me from start to end, not even letting me pick a color and insisting I do a French manicure instead. She often mumbled behind her mask to herself (not in English) and then looked at me with an impatient expression as though she were waiting for a response. She gave me a VERY poorly done powder-dipped French manicure. It was a total rush job. I had clumped polish in some spots, very uneven white lines with varying thickness as "French Tips," and even dried hairs on certain nails. There was excess acrylic everywhere and in varying thickness on different nails - I was still picking it out from under my nails the next day! It had taken me about a month to grow out my nails, treat them well, and file them to look the way they did, and she questioned me several times before we started to confirm that they were my real, completely natural nails. To go from that, to this terrible acrylic mess was really extremely sad to me - and at a $90 fee. So I told her what was wrong and she simply removed some of the French tips and re-scribbled them on... She was very unapologetic, and acted as though I had nothing to be concerned about. Since she made no real effort to fix the mess she had made, I finally just told her I wanted everything removed and that I could not pay for it. She blamed it on the polish, saying it was too thick to work with and that it was the end of the bottle. She then removed the white tips and insistently slathered on a top coat to the now-permanent acrylic on my nails, claiming it would look, "very nice." At least my friend (who had treated me) was able to get a refund before we left for the $90 she almost paid for this botch job. I'm sure they give plenty of great manicures here, but from my experience be especially careful if they are busy or if you look young. She thought she could take advantage of me as soon as she found out it was my first time getting a powder-dip, and having a young face probably only encouraged her. It's true that I might not be "experienced," but I'm also not an idiot. Unfortunately and thanks to cheap service I am now stuck with a terrible manicure and chipping acrylic on my nails until I pay to have it removed at another salon. At least I can warn others here, because this was basically the equivalent of getting scammed.

Uses used buffers. Used to be more meticulous. Recend bringing your own
