Never again. The establishment is unclean, and unfriendly. Three times I've been to this company because it's convenient how close it is to my house. Each time I've gone in, I've felt uncomfortable. No one in the business knows how to talk and be friendly. Especially the woman who I believe to be is the owner. When ever I've come in for a service, she is always standing behind the receptionist. She has never spoken or looked directly at me, but has always come up and reached for my hand to examine it, and yell something to her employees in another language. On one hand, I don't know if she knows how to speak English, but on the other if you're going to run a business, you need to know how to talk to your customers. The place has always seemed unclean, but this last visit was the last straw. I had gotten a french manicure from somewhere else and wanted it taken off. The nail technician did not try to soak them off, instead she used a fake acrylic nail to dig under my manicure to break the seal so she could rip it off. It hurt and damaged my nails, but I didn't complain because I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. After she was done, she put that SAME fake nail that she USED to DIG under MY manicure BACK in the box!!!! I was so surprised that I left without saying anything, now I regret not saying anything.

Obsession used to be good and shellac would last 2-3 weeks. Now it doesn't even last 1 week. I think they got mostly all new employees and are terrible now. They are always rude, they don't know how to actually paint on shellac. They should know if it gets on your skin then the shellac will lift. It's happened the last 3-4 times I've gone there and I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt.
One time I was there and one nail tech sat and told her customer how bad they have gotten and how bad all the new employees were. She was also talking about quitting because it had gotten so bad.
If their own employees think they do poor work it's a sign. DO NOT GO HERE.

I’m sitting here at obsession nails in Rochester! And they just hired the best new nail technician last week! Her name is Tammy! She is the sweetest most charismatic woman I’ve ever had the pleasure of giving me a pedicure. This was my first day off in forever and I usually don’t come here but I was desperate for some good pampering. After working 60 hours a week for the past month it was definitely time to come in. Not only did she carry on a great conversation, but also made me feel like the most important girl in the world. She was polite and very professional! I struggle from really bad ingrown toenails from being a professional dancer for years. Ive never had anyone cut them so perfectly so it doesn’t hurt, in seriously like 10 years! From the beginning to the end I feel like I just grew a new pair of feet with the most beautiful nail color ever! The Salond labeled the nail color I wanted completely wrong in the samples they have in front of the desk in a messy box of colors. So she said trust me, tell me what it want and I’ll find it! She picked out the perfect color! I love it even more then the one I originally picked out. From here on out, I will be coming here just to see her and have her do my nails! She has is the best addition to their staff they’ve had in years! Everyone should request her because you won’t be disappointed! I seriously can’t thank her enough for the amazing pedicure she gave me! For some reason they wouldn’t let her do my manicure today too unless it was by request when I originally made my appointment. So next time I’ll make sure to request her to do my full appointment because she is the best! I really look forward to seeing her next time! This place really needs more women like her!!!

IF you can get in, they do good work. That is why I gave them two stars instead of one.
Why only one star? I have visited/attempted to visit 4-5 times since they opened, however every time I have set foot in this establishment, it has been packed but the owner or manager is condescending and dismissive as though I am somehow interrupting her day. This seems counterintuitive for a business operating only on the patronage of customers.

I have been going to this nail salon for a very long time. But, because of bad experience with my last 2 appts., I will not being going back. My last scheduled pedicure, they left me sitting with my feet soaking in in the tub for 45 mins. Hot water had to be added twice before I eventually received my pedicure. This time my pedicure only started 15 mins. late, but sat 40 mins with my nails wrapped in acetone, before receiving my manicure. Having said nothing last time, I felt the need to tell Hailey that she is obviously overbooking. She then proceeded to argue with me that she was not. I stated, I was not going to argue with her, and the fact was, I had a 2:00 appt. and it was going on 4 and hadn’t even begun my mani. Needless to say, my shellac was rushed and am still trying to get all the gel left on my cuticles off. A very poorly managed business with overworked technicians.
