I just moved to the stony brook area and was looking for a new hair salon. Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. I stressed how much I didn't want any blonde on top of my head. I showed a picture where a girl had blonde in thin pieces throughout her hair (the bottom only) very subtle. There was no blonde on the top of the girls hair in the picture. The stylist put blonde all throughout my hair and keep in mind I am a natural brunette with tan skin. The outcome was horrifying. I had thick blonde streaks throughout my hair that looked random and choppy. The woman who cut my hair (a different woman) asked me if I liked it so I almost started crying and said no so the stylist had someone else put a toner in it to make it go back to as dark as possible. The stylist I had started to take her next client which I felt was scheduled way too close to my appt and basically left someone else in charge of trying to fix my hair. They got the bleach blonde highlights (and I did NOT ask for highlights) down to a orange coppor like color which is surprisingly more tolerable than the hideous blonde they put in my hair. My hair was soft and is now very dry and rough. The stylist didn't follow the picture I showed at all and I really thought I was very clear. I couldn't believe they charged me $180 as well because I left with my hair looking terrible and I was clearly upset with how it came out. On top of that, the woman who cut my hair had a different client right after me so I had to have a different girl blow out my hair. I ended up having to tip 4 different stylists there.
