Endorsing diversity and education, were among the founding ideals of the school. As of recently, that is no longer the case and freedom of speech is no longer a priority of the school or student's in part. Thus, the observation is that subjugation of thought and ideals have been placed among the aforementioned ideals. Sad to see the school protect the same activities that encouraged it's creation within it's body.

Great school! The best years of my life were at Texas southern university. The professors really care about the students well being and are supportive. They have a great jazz studies program.

Worst service I've ever dealt with. I had to go in person about 8 times just to register for one summer class. Nobody knows what they're doing. They just sent me from building to building, it almost seemed like none of them wanted to do any work. All of the people are on their desks just watching their tv shoes while answering your questions. Then the day the class started they changed the professor, and the only reason I was taking the class there was because of the professor. The swapped professor was horrible. So I decided to drop the class the 3rd day and for three days they kept 50%, $700. Also the "counselor" that was in the student service office in the technology building seemed to care more about you signing in on her sign in sheet as if she was trying to fill a quota rather than helping you. Then on top of that she would be gone on 2-3 hour lunch breaks. Overall horrible experience, I would not recommend to anyone.

The best time of my young adult life. For, it was truly a blessing to be able to attend Texas Southern University. The campus was growing, and so was the student population. Texas Southern University, did not just allow me to get a college education. It gave me an all around every day life education. I meet some wonderful people there, as well has having the opportunity to see a college and Staff that care about it's students and the community that surrounds it. Texas Southern University is rich with loving and caring people that want to see young or older adults regardless of ethnicity be successful and make a positive mark on the world. Thank you Texas Southern University, for helping make me the man I am today.
Sincerely,
Mr. Robert Lee Littleton IV
