Will never go here again. Was a walk in client and asked for a pedicure and gel manicure. Did the pedicure and from start to finish it was about 10 minutes. I used to bite my nails due to anxiety and recently was able to break the habit. My nails have grown and yes although they were still short, they were able to be manicured. The ladies took one look at my nails and were all giggling and making fun of me for biting my nails. I was so embarrassed and stated that I do not anymore and that they have grown and they all looked at me as if they didn’t believe me. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s not how you keep a customer coming back AT ALL. Very disrespectful and not welcoming at all. The lady ended up refusing to polish my nails and did a lousy job of a “manicure” after she topped it off with a clear polish. She even left some bits of my shellac gel I had previously on still on my nails. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. This is a shame since I heard such nice reviews here and my own experience sucked. Will never reccomend anyone here. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I have been coming here for 5 years now and will never be returning after my recent visit. To start, the owner did not have my appointment written down when I had called 2 days prior to make sure my friend and I could get in. He acted like he didn't know me and didn't believe that I made an appointment but they took us anyways. Next, a state inspection lady came in and the owner asked me and my friend to go outside while she did the inspection. My friend was very upset and said no to waiting outside. By the time the inspection lady had left, we had waited half an hour and my friend decided not to get her pedicure done. As I am getting my fill, the technician tells me one of my hands needs a new set when I just got them on there two weeks prior. I said no to a new set because I wasn't paying for another one. I didn't get the shape I wanted and I feel that my acrylics are too thin. As I was checking out I said we are going somewhere else to get our pedicure done and that I was very upset about how we were treated, especially where I have been a long time client. The owner gave my friend a gift certificate for the troubles but didn't give me one. I am upset to say I will never ever go back to Gelous Nails due to this experience being my last straw with them and I have brought them a lot of business and got no appreciation for it.

Great place to have nails done. I go all the time. Great service, friendly and comfortable.

Not bad, not great. Staff was friendly and welcoming. (I'm the jerk who showed up 20 minutes before they closed, I realized as I walked in. They were very nice and took me anyway.) This was THE fastest mani I've ever had. I got a French shellac, with a design. Personally, I appreciate artists who free-hand designs. Mine was stamped on - SUPER fast and cool, but zero talent required. The manicure itself was pretty basic. My favorite part is the hand massage, and that lasted 10 seconds each hand - no exaggeration. As far as shaping goes, my nails are SUPER short, and he definitely did the best with what he had. My nail edges are not smooth, though, and he didn't adequately clean my nails between coats. (Nor, for that matter, did he actually get off ALL the old shellac!) I expect it will be peeling off within two weeks. And then I'll be trying other shops in Derry.

Loved it here! Do not want to go anywhere else for for a pedicure! The girls actually talk to you, joke with you, and are super sassy, my kind lof ladies!
