I did not have a very good experience today at Modern Nails. I explained that soaked after only 8 days my acrylic nails began coming off and lifting at the cuticle. This is not normal for acrylics. The manager did not apologize, she did not offer to repair my nails and rejected my request for a discounted price to have them soaked off. She said she had to charge me full price because “acrylic takes a long time to soak off”. Despite this being the reason, the staff who took over soaking off the acrylic gave up and left some acrylic behind on my nails. I am not pleased with Modern Nails at all. I would have felt better if she had apologized to me about my nails coming off and lifting after such a short time. The manager was very short with me and very cold.

First, the lady that did my pedicure did a great job. I'm leaving a 1 star review because I told her I wanted the $25 pedicure and when it was all done, she charged me $40. And for that, I won't ever be going back. Lee nails does something similar. They dont even ask which pedicure you want, they just charge you $40.

I, along with a two friends, have exclusively gotten our manicures and pedicures at Modern Nails for years. After noticing some discoloration, it was confirmed by my doctor that I have a toenail fungus. Upon hearing this, my friends that also go to modern nails removed their polish and discovered the same fungal symptoms.
Because of this, I’m having to take medication for 12 weeks, along with monthly blood work due to the medication’s side effects. I used to love modern nails, but there’s no way I can feel good about not warning others about my experience. It’s very disappointing that I’m having to go through such a hassle because Modern Nails is not properly sanitizing their equipment.

My go-to nail place on this side of town. Get the wife who runs the place to do your nails, she’s the best.

My mother and I went in to have pedicures after a winter of not having any. My mother specifically asked if they were going to be able to use a scraper because her feet were pretty rough. They informed here they would. The scraper was in the basket that she had carried to the chair. After receiving the pedicures we left the salon and headed out to shop. I reached down to feel my feet and they were as rough as they were before I went in. My mother checked her's as well. You could barely tell we had pedicures except for the fact that I had new polish on. They get a one star because not only were our feet rough, my mother asked for them to use the scraper if it was needed and they assured us they always do, if needed.
