I went today and Paige did all over color. I asked that she leave some of my highlights uncolored rather than start the whole process again. The instructor helped guide Paige with what I was requesting and the communication was great. I did not rush the process and made sure to ask questions. Paige and her instructor also made sure that we were all on the same page as men. (Lol! No puns intended) :) My hair has not looked this good in quite some time. Thank you all for listening and not rushing me. That was a great experience. Also, the school seemed to run smoothly and the students seemed to have professional attitudes as well.

One of the students named Alyianna Shanee Garner is very unprofessional. She did my hair & did not do it right I politely asked her could she fix it & she caught a attitude & did not reply. Later I asked her again & she said she would refund me $50 which was not the full price I paid. Which I would have been losing out on $25. To make the long story short she never fixed my hair or refunded me the money.

As a former future professional with an overall bad experience with this facility, I wanted to take the time to review the school and the education program itself. At the end of the day, I am a licensed cosmetologist, so it wasn’t all bad. However, all of the money that I paid to go to school here, I expected a professional environment. Instead, I got a chaotic environment where students got into daily screaming fights and/or physical altercations that would end up involving the cops. After repeated offenses and threats of expulsion, they were always allowed back to keep disrupting everyone else’s educations. There were many times where I did not feel safe. On another note, I was in phase two which is an honor because you get more of the salon experience. Unfortunately, once I got into phase two, I was expected to know everything. There were so many times I asked for help or advice and I was brushed off because there were other students who needed help and I should just know. Also I cannot count how many nights I was made to stay and finish a client, after I had just clocked 11 hours. The learning leaders could have had a night student take over, but didn’t. So every night I stayed, that was 2+ hours I didn’t get credit for when it came to state board hours. The classrooms are so packed out, sometimes you didn’t have a seat/ you couldn’t see what the instructor was doing. This was simply because the owners are more concerned with money than the future professional’s educations. Knowing what I know now, I would have most definitely spent my money elsewhere because all of this was not worth the daily headache. It is a long year if you absolutely dread going to school.

The lovely salon experience begins with the friendly and happy person who greets you at the front desk. The assigned student welcomes you and takes you to his/her station promptly. They listen carefully during the consultation and relay that information to a learning leader who listens to the student's plan for carrying out the service and makes suggestions on how to effectively perform the services required by the customer. The student I had was efficient and skilled in coloring my hair, giving highlights and then cutting my hair. I've been going to Paul Mitchell for about 8 years and enjoy both the skill level and the price of salon services vs. those in a private salon. I keep coming back because I've never had a bad experience.
