A wonderful venue, more geared toward ice sports than casual skating, though both are allowed and acceptable. The parking garage is nearby and convenient, and the atmosphere is family-friendly.

Ice at the Parks had their annual Winter Festival. One half of the rink is set up for different events like shooting hockey puck into the net, you could play in a large pile of snow or make snowmen, there is an area where you try to hit a target with snowballs ( this year the target was Olaf), they gave the kids sled pulling rides, or you could just skate on the other half of the rink. Tons of fun! The kids love it. It's a family event we attend every year.

The Manager was great!!!! He helped us with our skates & tying them properly!!!!! It made skating much better, skating with good, nice, tight, properly tied skates!!! And he helped us with the lockers!!!! A really nice, helpful man!!!
We used a Groupon so it was a good price! We called ahead to double check times. We also liked that the public skate was open so long 6:30pm - 10pm.
The only issue we had was that the ice was scrapped up with holes & marks & a bit melted in some areas. I don’t know if it is always like that or if it was just because we came at end of the day. I was still able to skate but some of my kids complained that it was too bumpy.

Very nice, and very dangerous at times. I've seen a few accidents, usually caused by adults skating too fast around children just learning to skate. If someone speeding runs over one of my kids, there will be consequences to bear by the culprit.
