I had been visiting various nail salons for the past five months due to my go to nail girl taking some time off for family reasons. I am pretty anti-nail salon, but I didn't have a choice so I toughed it out. I start seeing my nail girl again starting tomorrow; however, she does gels and I had 3 week acrylics on. My friend was on her way to Nail TK's so I figured I'd just meet her there and have someone soak / file the acrylics off for me. I usually do this myself, but have had it done at a salon before. The gentleman who was assigned to me seemed a bit confused when I asked for the acrylics to be soaked off and my nails simply filed down a bit as they were too long. I didn't want a full manicure, I didn't want polish. They didn't speak much English so I didn't further explain as to why I was requesting this. As mentioned previously, I've had this done before at other salons. I sit down in the chair and he starts clipping which confused me, but I didn't know his method so I let it be. I turn to look over at my friend who was a few stations down, go to speak and then instantly gasped when I feel him prying an acrylic nail off with an unused acrylic tip. It rips, taking my real nail with it. I pull my hand back and say, "I asked for them to be soaked off." He told me that he won't do that because it takes an hour. I told him that it never took an hour at other salons nor at my house when I do it myself, but if he wasn't going to do it then don't worry, just file my nails (because they were razor blades after his clipping) and I'll remove them from home. I give my hand back and he keeps trying to rip the acrylics. I ask him to stop, just file them so they aren't sharp and I will remove them at home. He then took clippers and clipped ALL the length off three of my nails. Then grabbed his drill and on my one bare nail starting drilling which burned so strong I yanked my hand from him and said "never mind I'm done here." I walk over to my friend to tell her I was leaving. The male tech followed me and had the balls to ask for $5. I'm sorry? You are charging me $5 for ripping two acrylic nails off after I told you multiple times NOT TO and then you almost burn a hole in my fingernail? Absolutely not.

Worst pedicure ever! He botched a basic job, and they still charged full price. I have to go to another place to fix his mistake. It should've been an easy job, and now it'll be a hassle.

The eldest (mother) did an awful, lazy job on my daughter manicure/nails. I paid in advance. I’ll NEVER go back.

This place is a family business. I used to LOVE coming here. It's been about a year almost consistently for me, and maybe even longer for my sis in law. We've come here together a few times, as was today's case. It started off really nicely with a pedicure... a little longer than usual, but still nice. We both ended at the same time and were ready for a manicure; we found it odd that my sis had to wait for my lady when there was in fact another lady available to do her manicure, but instead she took another client.
Before starting my manicure, I asked her for three acrylic nails and to keep my other real ones on; simply because I do take pride in my real nails, but the other three were cut short and unevenly by a previous salon. Nail lady still insisted on getting a full set. At this point, I had to be more stern and say "No, I would not like that. Just the three please." She went on and talked about how thin my nails are, which I completely disagree. After 40 min at her desk, Finally it was time for polish (and sis is still waiting right next to me), but I had asked the male manicurist to assist her because we have been waiting for a while at this point. The lady continues with my nails and sends me off to sit under the light.
I patiently sat there for a good 10 minutes not moving a single muscle and finally I snuck a peek at my left hand -- Thumb nail is clumpy and melted! Lint everywhere. I went back to her desk to see if she can fix it, to which she then "shoo'd" me away and said the male (one who is assisting sis now) will fix it for me. I put my nails back under the light, 5 minutes later I peeked at my right hand -- now THIS thumb nail is clumpy and melted!
Male manicurist is done with my sis, assists me, and puts my thumbs to dry with the fan. THE POLISH WAS CRACKING IN FRONT OF MY OWN EYES!!!!!
After he "fixed" it, I politely told him that I was not satisfied and would like to have further assistance regarding the situation. He seemed to not have liked that reaction and responded with aggression. I then asked for a refund for the manicure, and even compromised with whatever just the two nails costs. Their only solution was to loudly and impolitely tell me that they will fix it for me (but after being there for nearly 3 hours and having PLANNED my SCHEDULE accordingly, I was not able to do that!) and DID NOT accommodate my request. The Mom/original lady then came up to my face, got loud, and walked away while I remained calm and continued asking for assistance. Male manicurist also raised his voice, threw things on his desk, and dropped the "F" bomb on me.
Horrible, horrible service today which completely threw me off guard and out of their salon for good. They seemed not to care about customer satisfaction. How unfortunate of them to lose a loyal customer who had so much respect and a soft spot for their family business.
