Went in this place twice the first time I felt ignored for at least the 1st 30 minutes I was there. Then I was finally called to a chair after about 45 minutes. The lady that did my pedicure was very talkative once she started my pedicure however while I was waiting to be seen there was a lot of speaking in her language to the other workers and no eye contact.
She did a very good job with my pedicure so I thought maybe I had read things wrong when I first got there.
I decided to give it another chance since I don’t live in town and only am here while visiting my son.
I go in to see if I can make an appointment for the next day and ask specifically for the lady in the 1st chair because she is the one that did such a good job before. She looked shocked and stammered and stuttered about me allowing someone else to do my mani/pedi. Finally I asked if she was busy or something than she said yeah yeah I’m busy very busy. The whole place went silent she didn’t even know what time I wanted to come in.
I made a joke about being disappointed and left but the feeling I had the first time I went there was the same I had this time.
There was some type of prejudice going on in there and I’m not saying racism but definitely something.
She doesn’t have worry about this plus sized African American with natural hair dyed purple coming in there for service again.

Paid $35 for the top of the line pedicure. Person doing my pedicure seemed very rushed in a hurry was not gentle at all actually hurt my feet many times. I clarified before the appointment how long the massage would be for that much money because the basic pedicure was $22 and includes 10 minutes of massage they assured me I would receive 20 minutes of massage with the $35 pedicure and I only got 12 minutes of a massage. At least the place didn't smell heavily of chemicals like the G Street on 2nd place does. They also charge an additional dollar extra if you want to use a credit card which I find offencive when I'm paying $35 and a $5 tip. I would think for a $40 purchase, which is mostly labor, I would not have to pay extra to use a credit card. I also did not feel it was very sanitary. The girl use the same gloves that she put the callus remover chemicals on my feet for the rest of my massage after just quickly swishing around in the water where my feet were put later. My point is that the callus remover chemicals were washed off her gloves in the same water she put my feet back into.

I got my manicure and pedicure for $34 plus $ tip at Davis Nails since visiting Davis. The massage was great and the girls were very friendly. One thing I did not feel comfortable was the tools they use were not sanitized and use it not sanitized for the next. In Santa Maria our spas each customers gets a new set of sanitized tools from a sealed bag.

Just had my nails done by Anna Tran. I also got the 15 minute neck, shoulder, and head massage. She did a great job on my nails, but honestly the massage was the best part. I didn't realize how tense I was! I totally recommend it!
