My daughter brought me here for a girls time and it was AMAZING to say the least.
I was given the best pedicure ever. It felt so wonderful. Even though they were super busy they didn't rush the process. I left there feeling super!!
I definitely recommend getting an appointment if you plan on going as they seem to be filled all the time.
The prices are very comparable with other places, but because they are so friendly and do such amazing work the cost is so worth it.

I've been here several times hoping that maybe I just had one bad experience, unfortunately not. They are rough with filing nails (I actually bled) and they treat you like they don't care, they rush you through everything and are jumping around between multiple people. The gel chips or starts cracking within days of getting it. I often find myself concerned about the way that they sanitize tools, stones (hot stone massage), as well as the general upkeep of the place (broken chairs, messes that don't get cleaned up, overcrowded). One time by accident I left a hair clip at one of the nail stations and a month later I came back with my friend and saw it, it hadn't moved and actually had dust on it. There is a long wait even with an appointment. The final straw was when I realized they were charging me more for services than what they advertise, so make sure you pay close attention at checkout. I would give 0 stars if I could.

LITERALLY THE WORST PEDICURE I’VE EVER HAD! Wish I could give them 0 stars! I came in with relatively long toenails because I didn’t want them to be cut too short. The lady doing my toes butchered the cutting and left me with very visibly crooked toenails, especially on one of my big toes. She didn’t seem to see what the problem was, but I insisted that there was an obvious issue and then two other men came over to see what I was fussing about. The one man immediately saw how badly and crooked my big toe was. He offered to put acrylics on my toe to make it longer and match my other big toe. I said no to that and sat there for 15 minutes dictating to him where he needed to cut and file my toes to make them even. He thought one or two passes of the nail file would make me happy, but what I wanted was for all of my toes to be evenly cut and generally the same shape (some were square, others were rounded and then there was the crookedly cut nails...). I have never had to do that before in my life so I was surprised that I was the one telling them every cut and file they should make. The lady who originally cut my nails didn’t speak a word of English so she had no idea what was going on. I had high hopes for this place because it was recommended by two of my friends but this nail salon is a dump. My chair was broken, including where you rest your feet. The foot rest came off several times during the pedicure and the lady just smiled nervously and put the piece back on the chair. It was extremely uncomfortable to have to balance my feet on the foot rest in an unnatural way just to keep it from falling off (And I was there for two hours, so you can imagine how uncomfortable I was). Plus, the woman who got her toes done before me by the same lady came back to the salon three times after she left to have her toes fixed. So my pedicure lady dropped everything when the customer came back in each time and left me sitting there mid pedicure for several minutes at a time. When I got up to pay I told the guy (who was one of the ones fixing my toes) that it was the worst pedicure I had ever had and all he said was “sorry”, swiped my card and walked away. Seriously, don’t go here! Can someone in Provo please just open up a decent nail place?!?

I have been around the block with nail salons in Utah and Essence remains the best. They have a clean, friendly environment, but most importantly they are extremely talented and efficient. My gel never chip, stay on for weeks and their pedicures are to die for! I will love them forever.

It was my first time there and I went at 11 and they were relatively busy but they had me seated and they finished before the hour was over! The guy who did my nails (Nick) was nice and made sure I liked the polish and the length of my nails before he continued! Definitely coming again!
