I have been treated by Dr. Nelson for several years now and so thankful for him and his staff assistant in dealing with my various skin disorders. The entire staff at both the Morehead City and New Bern offices have been very professional and caring. I recommend this group to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Was referred there a year ago by my doctor. I must say that the people at the front desk were not very friendly. However the dermatologist that I seen were very good. But they wanted me to have a lot of expensive expensive blue light things done. When I went to the front desk I was told that they did not take my type of insurance. I asked them why that my doctor had sent everything to them they claim that they did not get it however on the paper that I got it showed where they did have my insurance. They said they could not file Insurance there at the Morehead City office. So I called the Greenville office and explain the situation I will say that the lady at the Greenville office that I talked to was very very nice and told me not to worry about it that she would take care of it. I've never heard from them since

I came early to fill out paperwork, waited 35 minutes, the Nurse acted as if she didn't care, not personable at all. I get back there, she takes more information down, tells me to undress.I came in for acne, but oh well, I'll let her do a skin check. So I undress, sit on the chair which if facing the wall, with my back facing the door. The doctor comes in, who is a little better. I'm still undressed and the Nurse keeps opening the door as if I'm not there. What every happened to privacy? The doctor asked her questions, told the nurse to prescribe such and such medicine without even looking at my face. Requested I get some blood drawn. Meanwhile the visit is over, she says I can put my clothes back on. BUT why is the Nurse still in my room? She's like, "hold on for a second, let me get this," looking at her ipad. So I get dressed, get back on the chair for the Nurse to take blood. She couldn't get any blood, so she said, I'm gonna send you to Labcorp. Can you go sometime this week? I said no, I'm busy, I work and my schedule is busy. I'll just get my doctor to do it. So I walk out, get the paperwork and she direct me to the window. While at the window discussing my next appointment, in which the nurse was unsure if it was 4-6 or 6-8 weeks and hand me 2 sample bottles saying, here these are samples.
The worst visit ever, I will not be going back.

Saw me within a day of calling. Super professional and personable. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist.
