My husband and I had pedi appointments and because it was our first time there we were initially thrown off because the name on the sign says Charlie Nails instead of Charming Nails so when we pulled up we were unsure if we were at the right place. Once we were inside though we were immediately greeted and once I told the gentleman that we had appointments and with whom, Anna (one of the techs we had appointments with) came out and let us know she was getting our area set up and would be back out shortly. We were pleasantly surprised that we were taken to what seemed like a private area for two. Anna offered us drinks and then Nancy joined to do my pedi. In comparison to other "basic" pedi's that we have gotten this one was just OK. Both Anna and Nancy were super quiet, and while they were not unfriendly, they were not friendly either. When I asked questions I got bare minimal answers and or "I don't know". I asked about the spa lunch because I was thinking about having a girls day with massages and lunch, but neither woman knew what the spa lunch even was. (Strange) Then when I asked which name was correct, Charming or Charlie one of them said "It's the same thing". (Stranger) All in all though, we liked the private area. The basic pedi while not as long as some other salons, was nice and relaxing and while there we paid for an extra foot massage for my husband which Anna offered to do without issue. So we would visit for pedi's again and hope that whichever nail tech we get next is more outgoing.

I have always been a fan of Charming Nails & Day Spa, but yesterday evening I had a terrible experience. I normally go and see Dennis, Peter or Charlie. They were not available last night and I was hesitant to get my nails done with a stranger, but the lady on the phone insisted Nick was really good. I knew better than to go with a stranger, but I really wanted to get my nails done (first mistake and the gist of this review). I had a dip powder manicure and I chose the color Nude (126). I had a dip color on previously before my appointment. Nick seemed pretty annoyed that he had to take off the previous color. Things were moving accordingly after that, but then I noticed he was putting on the finishing top coat and I could see my nail bed through the color. I asked Nick if he was really done putting color on my nails and he got offended. He said that I chose that color and that color is supposed to look that way because it is natural. I told him that I would have dipped more layers on to build the color. Nick asked me if I would like him to put more layers on and I said, yes. Nick got really mad that he had to undo everything he did previously and add more layers to my nails. I told him I was sorry that I made him angry ( I am the one paying for this). In a frustrated tone, he told me that he was not angry. I was extremely uncomfortable and could not wait to get my manicure over with. When Nick was done adding the layers onto my nails, they looked way better (you always add layers to a light color). After my nails were dry, Nick put on a dime-sized amount of lotion to both of my dry, cracked hands and started the hand massage (you can just imagine the horror on my face). I payed for the service, tipped him and left in a hurry. I felt uncomfortable to complain. I just wanted to get home and relax after a long day. Please forgive me for this extensive review; I just wanted to make everyone aware of my experience. If you ever go to Charming Nails & Day Spa, please make appointments with Charlie, Dennis or Peter.
