The people there are extremely rude to gamers who are there to play Pokémon Go AFTER HOURS. Grow up. If it is after hours and you can see fully well we are just playing a game, mind your own business. If you really don't want the gym to be there, keep requesting it to be moved elsewhere on Pokémon Go's support website. Til then, stop the hate please.

There is an incredibly angry and rude woman working at this salon. We parked in the lot in front of the strip mall her shop is attached to (and on the far side from the front of the building no less) for about 10 minutes while playing Pokémon Go, and she went absolutely nuts on us. You would have thought we'd all gotten out and were standing around smoking and drinking and urinating on the side of her shop, but she was completely aware we were stopping for a very short time to play a game on our phones.
Bear in mind this was 7pm and the strip mall looked closed. I don't know their hours, but given the empty lot (except for her car, which she kept setting the alarm off on to scare us - ineffective) that was a pretty safe bet. No one would have gone there if we'd known, because back when raids first became a thing, some of the group interacted with this same crazy lady and everyone has stayed away since. She claims she's told players "20 times" to stay out of the lot, but that's a flat out lie.
I could go on, but the point I would like to come to is that there was a very different way she could have handled having a Pokémon Go gym placed in the middle of four lanes of traffic right in front of her shop, whereby she would have probably gained some customers and had them stay out of the lot during business hours with no friction - but instead she chose to act like a total loon.
Originally I tried to be nice and suggested she ask Niantic to move the gym to an actual Starbucks where it belongs (even though I thought she was acting like a complete nutter the first time too), but after she screamed and threatened one of the players who foolishly got out of his car to ask if she was alright, I'm done. Zero sympathy for this woman. Needs anger management.
