Dear Rachel,
Instead of writing a review, I'm writing you a love letter.
I am one of those Manhattanites who loathes going outside of the island of Manhattan - just kidding - occasionally I do, but only when it's worth a trip.* For a long time, I was determined to find my go-to nail salon for SNS and now looks like my fingers have found their Oasis in the desert.
Here are three reasons why you deserve a love letter.
1. Long-Lived SNS Nails
I've never had SNS that lasted a month. I cook and bake on a regular basis and SNS usually lasts me 3 weeks tops, but never for a month. Moreover, they were still intact after I soaked my nails in acetone for 15 minutes.
2. An Exquisitely Skillful Ombré Design
Nowadays, SNS are everywhere. But when it comes to doing ombré with SNS, nobody is as skillful as you. One of the best benefits of SNS is that it dries so quickly** and it's much harder to perform the perfect ombré. The other day, I've gotten my pedicure done at the salon in the city, and nail technicians won't stop talking about how beautifully done my nails are. You've never ceased to amaze me.
3. A Comical Banter with Kevin
To be perfectly honest with you, this might be my favorite part. You were one of the friendliest nail artists*** I've met. Nothing is more awkward when you're getting nails done and your nails technician is quiet as a church mouse. I don't know how many times I was cackling when you are adorably and savagely talking to your husband, Kevin.
The irony of how good you are is that I only get to see you once in 4 weeks or a month; that's how long it lasts! I can't emphasize that enough. That being said, I will see you in another 3 weeks, as my nails are still as fabulous as I left your salon a week ago. Keep being you, Rachel.

* Now that MTA keeps messing up unpredictably, I only have one pair of trustworthy transportation: my feet.
** This is perhaps the best part of SNS, however, it takes forever to remove, so it's not faster to get it done than normal polishes or gels.
*** There are people who deserve to be treated as an artist; Rachel is one of those who is admiringly gifted and talented.

Under trained staff that can not communicate effectively. Asked for round and got square, did not want a massage and she tried to give me one, was told what color to pick, filed my nails so short that I had no nail left and the tip was sensitive, gel polish is old and color selection is narrow.
Sanitation was very questionable she used the same tools during my manicure on next client for pedicure. Rolled up the hot towels and put back into the heater.
Has a hair stylist that works out of the front and does not have a license posted.

With having just moved I was in search of a new nail salon and I’m soo happy I found Rachel . She’s beyond sweet and really takes pride in the work she does, she convinced me to try the sns powder gel and I couldn’t be more obsessed it last weeks and has saved my nails! Highly recommend this salon!

Professional and quick manicure for my daughter and I. They offer gel polish too. Great find!
