I don't make appointments, I just show up or call just before I show up. Audra is always willing to put up with me. This place is great.

I got to my appt only to find the salon wasn't even open yet so I waited and chatted with another waiting customer. After the doors were open I didn't get the feeling my time was important.

I chose Shear Excitement because of the previous positive reviews; however, I was disappointed with their service and professionalism. I had a wedding and needed to get my hair done before the wedding. I booked the appointment a week prior and my appointment got cancelled twice. I finally got my appointment, but was double-booked with another person for a color service. I had to wait 30 minutes and when it was my turn I felt that my hairstylist was in a rush to get my hair done. All I asked for was a trim and some layers. However, I was disappointed by the quality of the cut.

I got my hair cut my Lindsay. She was professional and very knowledgeable! I told her a bit about what I wanted, and she made my hair look better than I could've imagined. 10/10 would recommend!

I typically don't write reviews like this; however, in this case I have to.
I have never been more disappointed in my color results or paid SO much for service in my life. I typically go to more "upscale" salons (which this is definitely not), but wanted to try this one out after reading some of the reviews. I specifically told the stylist that my hair is hard to color and I DO NOT want any traces of red in my hair when we were done. (I started with no red whatsoever, just brown with blonde highlights.)
$177 later (before the tip!) I leave with bright red roots all over my head. Even after realizing how red it was, she still had the nerve to charge me that RIDICULOUS AMOUNT and said to just come back in a week if the red didn't "fade." Wait...What??? What does red fade to exactly? Lighter red?? I asked for ashy blonde and platinum and left looking like strawberry shortcake with an empty wallet. If you care at all about the end result, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Or if you want to give someone a ton of money to do the opposite of what you ask for, then by all means, schedule an appointment today!
