Fair oaks Mall is way out of the way for me. However it is the closest mall that has a Build-A-Bear store. I took both of my kids there to get their birthday bears, which they loved. They also have a really nice kid play area which my toddler always begs to go to. Additionally, there photos with Santa (if you're into that kind of thing) is exceptionally well done. I don't do the whole Santa thing with my kids, and I was still rather impressed by it.

I miss this mall so much! So easy to run errands here! It's not too big and not too small. Cheesecake factory is one of the best here.

I remember Fair Oaks Mall was one of the places to visit between Tysons and other malls. Things have changed and there seems to be challenges from the Amazon Effect. The mall was clean and had several popular brands still in the mall. The Christmas display for Santa Clause in the middle of the mall was really nice and had numerous customer's in line. I will return to Fair Oaks to see how they adjust to the changes.

The interior and design of this mall reminds me of Lake Forest mall in Gaithersburg MD where I grew up. In the age where malls are dying, I hope this mall doesn't go away. It's not as big and fancy or crowded like Tyson's mall, but it's still a beautiful mall with decent stores and a decent amount of people. Unlike dying malls, there are new stores and eatery that still pops up here.i also think this mall is being care for and not left outdated. Kudos for them.

Big changes here over the past few years. Lots of stores closed. The owners of the individual stores I know said rent just kept increasing so it was not worth staying open. I do not understand why Dave and Busters so not have a mall door. To gain access you have to go outside and around the mall building. It would be nice to sneak off for a beer and some gaming while the spouse is shopping.
