Not my best experience for a first time customer. As I go and I notice that it is moderately busy with only 3 people for 2 nail specialists. Not a big deal at all for me. However as I'm getting my nails done the woman decides to cut my already super short nails (almost as if I bit my nails off short) and with one of my thumbs I did bite my nail off to the point where it was at the meat of my nails and she attempted to try to cut it and she cut my skin. She noticed then she stopped real quick , apologized and i said that's fine (even though it wasn't since she took the time to look at my nail before she tried to cut my "barely there" nail off). Then when it came to the nail application I asked for short nails and as I told her to cut a little bit off, the length never really changed until I had to say "here let me do it". I could only do two nails at the time because people started showing up so I had to let her finish. I had mentioned to her that I would do it by myself (the length)if she would let me and when people started showing up there was one customer who wanted her eyebrows done. So as she's doing my nails she paused and she asked me if I could do it by myself so I said okay then she proceeded to take the customer to the back room to do her eyebrows and then come back out. At this point I'm a little irritated and just want my nails to be done and over with. as she's filing down my nails, every so often she would cut me which I didn't really appreciate and while she is applying the polish she tries to ask me something. Now with me I'm understanding about different cultures and how its challenging to speak English. But as she's trying to ask me something I tell her "I don't understand you, it's very hard to understand you, your accent is a little too thick so you can ask your manager to tell me". When I told her this, I expected her to speak in her foreign language that way its easier for her but she asked him in English and she mumbled the whole time. So he finally understood her and he asked me if i wanted to pay before the Polish is placed on. So i paid, got the polish on ,and when it was dry I left. I tell you this story because as a customer I felt there were many things that were done wrong. One was cleanliness. When she was done doing my nails she took the next available customer to do their nails. Not once did I see her clean her tools or her counter. 2nd was customer concern. To me this is a big deal. When it comes to my nails I need them short since I'm a person who uses their hands a lot. Not once did she ask me to make a fist to see if I was comfortable with the nails and if I liked them. To me it seemed like she was haughty and didn't need to ask how her handy work was. And lastly, communication. I had mentioned that I do not have a problem with those who have difficulty speaking English however I do have a problem with people who speak English but they mumble so as she's trying to talk to me I found this very irritating because I could not understand her and I had to publicly tell her that I could not understand her in front of her customers and to me I would be embarrassed if someone told me that I talk retarded in front of people. If you need to go to the nail place I would definitely not recommend this location I would rather recommend Rose nail further down nacodoches next to Planned Parenthood or Kristy nails heading towards the jack in the box on Judson.
