There are a lot of hair salons in Jackson Heights, Ingrid's has been around for a while. The salon itself is large, with plenty of stations for hair and nail treatments. I came here last week when an appointment at Serenity Hair and Nail Salon fell through. Ingrid's was able to take me right away, which is rare on a Friday night.
I really liked Raul. He was professional and friendly. A blowout here (no hair washing, just styling) cost a little over $36. Which is cheap by Manhattan standards, but I've paid less at other salons in the area.

This past Christmas after a year of not being able to afford to do my hair I went to Ingrid's hair salon. I had been going to Mao for three years and a few weeks before Christmas I made an appt but was appointed to someone else by mistake. The hair session went well but wasn't exactly what I had wanted. Waiting a week later I had then went to Mao, asking for the ombere. What Mao gave me was grown out roots and a blow dry I did not like at all. Unable to take photos during Christmas and had to wait for a redo hair session days later he not only mistreated me and dried out my hair, the color was only a bit better. I had to address Mao and tell him I could no longer be his client. No less Ingrid's charged me $50 for the "blow dry". I was hurt and insulted after three years of going!

Just walked in today to get a cut and it was the best haircut I have gotten in a long time. And it didn't cost me $100 like it does in Manhattan - $30 and I was in and out in about 20 minutes (no blow dry). Ingrid's is definitely my new salon!

Went in to ask for appointment and an estimate instead received attitude. Definitely not going back.

I came in for a appointment with my great hair dresser Jose ! His amazing I so recommend this salon , I asked for a balaygeombre and that's exactly what he did on my hair and everyone at work even people in the streets stop and ask me how wonderful my hair looks.Also the price is reasonable for how great he did it.So next time you call ask for a appointment with jose your wont regret it :)
