I have difficult hair, no two ways about it. It’s fine and thin. I’m of the age where coloring is a necessity and I love the look of highlights. I also love the look of volume; who doesn’t? I ultimately decided that short hair was best for me and I was correct. However, getting the look I needed was eluding me. As a birthday gift, friends gave me a gift certificate to NSPJ. I decided to take a chance. I was paired with Marsha and the rest is hair history. Marsha listened to me. She assured me that what I was looking for was not the impossible feat I believed it to be. Then, after assuring me, she showed me! I have never been this happy with my hair. I am able to achieve the volume I seek, not only just after a cut and style, but on my own, at home. My hair is healthier than it has ever been. Marsha is patient and taught me well. If anyone is looking for a stylist who listens, offers realistic yet exciting suggestions, produces exactly what she suggests, and is willing to take the time and effort to educate you concerning your particular hair type, Marsha is the stylist you seek.

Why has nobody contacted me back after I requested a consult THREE days ago?
I sent one more request today, if you don't actually use the message section of your website, the why is it there?! I specifically said that I wanted a consult. I figured because I gave you the name of the stylist that you would have the time to look into the schedule and call me back with convenient times.
I suspected wrong. I asked for a phone call.
If I don't get one, then I will select a different salon.

I couldn't be happier. Issues with our well water turned my hair green and caused a lot of breakage. Amy has been absolutely wonderful throughout my hair "rehab." My hair is healthy and blonde again and I like the cut/style so much that I may never go back to long hair! Amy has a client for life :).

NSPJ is the only place I go for some "me" time. The staff is always friendly and the service is outstanding. If you are having a spa service be sure to arrive early to relax in the spa lounge before your scheduled time. When having a massage see if you can book time in the steam shower. It will make your experience all that much better. The historic mill space is charming. I can't seem to help myself in the retail area. It is my go to place for unique gifts. I can't wait until my next appointment!
