This is the most horrible salon I have ever gone too! The owner is the most horrible person I have ever dealt with! Please, please stay away! It has taken me weeks to be able to write this review. I went to this salon thinking I would pamper myself by getting highlights. Made an appointment and was greeted by a very nice young girl at the desk when I entered. I had a feeling once I met the owner (I have blocked her name from my memory) that I should walk out but I had arranged for care for my kids and did not know if I would have another chance in the near future and I was excited for a new look. Long story short, she gave me some story about how long of a process it would be (3hours) and that it would look great at the end and we agreed on a price. SIX HOURS later (most of it was with what I found out later was bleach sitting on my hair while she worked on other people) my hair was bleached orange, no highlights, and completely damaged. I was tired, very upset, and bullied. She gave me a bill for $260 (which I would have had no problem with if she did what we agreed upon (which was take out the red undertones and highlights). She proceeded to berate me in front of the whole salon...when I told her that this was NOTHING like the picture I showed her, she offered to dye my hair black and charge me nothing or to sit back and she would highlight my hair (which is now orange and not a medium brown). If she did one more thing to my hair, it would have fallen out completely. I paid and left because I was just so distraught. If I had to do it again I would have called the police, what she did to me was horrible. I have no idea how this person is still in business. Please stay away!

Found my new hair salon. It's difficult to find a place that will do exactly what you want or be able to come close to it. I have dyed my hair black and wanted to go light. Katie was the hairdresser that explained the whole process to me in detail and then was able to execute a beautiful color on my hair. It's not as light as I wanted it but Katie did tell me before hand that the color will not be as light the first time. I plan on going back to her about 2 more times till we get the color perfect. Other than that I usually dread sitting in a salon for more than an hour but she made it as comfortable and fun as possible.

This review is way over due! I’ve been a client of this salon over a decade. And they always keep me happy. Julia who does my nails is very talented, creative, friendly and most importantly very professional in her area. Every time when I leave her I always get a lot of complements about my finger and toe nails.
Ira who is my hairdresser is also amazing. My hair is thin and not really good, Ira just knew on her own what to do with it. And since then I don’t want to go to any other place. Olga the owner and all the staff overall are very professional and friendly, they make you feel like home. Something New Salon became my one and only place where I feel secure about my beauty.

Just had my hair cut at Something New Salon in Manalapan and it looks amazing! My mom had her hair highlighted and trimmed and she loves it! We have been coming here for years and would highly recommend it!

Jenine has done Magic Sleek & Color many times on my hair. She is amazing! I highly recommend her at this salon.
