I always came to this place because I really liked the friendly owners. They always did a great job and I always recommended it to other people. However, what I experienced last week ended up being a nightmare. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't there so someone else was doing the pedicure or maybe changed. She was rushing it and it was very painful. I could still live with that but she did it in such a bad way that she even cut one of my toes. I was expecting that she at least apologize but nothing. She kept going. It kept bleeding and I had to clean it again after coming home. Now it's been infected for two days already. Overall a very bad experience.

I always come here to get a pedicure. I’ve been to other establishments and they simply don’t take the time to get all of my ingrowns haha. Star nails is different, the owner Jenny is such a pleasure to work with. She takes her time, talks to you (if you’re the talkative type), is patient, and above all she’s THOROUGH. Here you’re a customer, not a number. Do yourself a favor and get pampered at a legit nail salon like Star Nails.

I am mostly disappointed with poor job and hygiene.
The Vietnamese woman (with a teenage son) did regular pedicures. She used the slippers for me. I was thinking it was disposable but, after she finished her work, she flatted the slippers and stored them instead of throwing to the garbage. She did very poor work on my toes. From the first day, it started chipping from the sides --She has very poor English-- when I asked her to cover all the nail surface areas with nail polish she was giving me irrelevant responses--keep saying "nice color--haaa?" I do not believe if she has any license to do nail work.
The owner wife is also Vietnamese and she did gel manicure on my hands. It was not great work to be a regular customer.
The owner husband was very rude to me--He was resistant to apply the manicure+pedicure package which was less expensive in their price listing-- That was why I was ordered a package. They charged me $50. total. They didn't deserve any tips. And, I am NOT interested in going there again.
Moreover, they are not professional. They do pedicures by making the clients sit on the message chairs which are very old and lost cushions--terribly hurt my bones, buttocks and backs. The husband either sleeps on the hammock between the trees (I am glad the city-works made a nice garden in there and he would not bend the trees any more) or he watches TV by sitting on these message chairs. Actually I prefer the nail salons with only woman employee.
All those experience made me not to go this place again, even this is the closest nail salon to my home.
I do not recommend.

I have been here twice. I have gotten good service. But been disappointed when I had to pay. Many months ago the man (I’m thinking the manager?) demanded a tip for the service. Since I’m a waiter. I understand tipping. But demanding a tip! Wrong! So today I saw the price was $25 and when I got the bill. It said $30. So I guess they add a tip here!? So I didn’t leave one! How would they like it I wanted on Asians or anyone from a different country. And add a tip!

First time going and will definitely be back. The lady did not speak English so I couldn’t really communicate well with her, but she did such a fabulous job that I will for sure be back.
