DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS SALON! READ BELOW! I AM DISGUSTED
I was here this past Thursday for my friend, she was getting hair put in and asked me and another friend to come along so I could learn more about it seeing as I am currently in school for cosmetology and it intrigues me. The visit started off really nicely, the owner gave my friend and I a tour while we were waiting for our other friend to get her hair done, she showed us the spa that will be completed in a few weeks and asked us to tell our friends, and you know what I thought that I would. That is until the woman doing my friends hair became belligerently rude to not only my friend but her fellow co-workers. It started when she stepped into the back room stating loudly enough for us to hear her tell her co-worker "I have white friends so I think I'm some prissy white girl so I can put blonde in my hair." Now normally we might assume she was talking about something else but my friend was putting blonde in her hair and we were the only white women in the room so we knew the comment was aimed at my friend. Now my friend is extremely particular about her hair she likes it going straight back which always looks absolutely perfect on her, but when she told the stylist this is what she wanted she responded with "I'm sorry but i wont do it your forehead is to big." they continued to fight over this for awhile while the store owner only a few feet away did nothing. Finally giving up my friend said fine they can do it her way, well as she was nearing done she told my friend she was going to give her bangs and when my friend said she didnt like them the stylist said she needed to listen to her directions and this started another thirty or so minuet argument about the bangs, at this point my friend was so irritated and my friend and i were so offended we just wanted to leave so she begrudgingly agreed to bangs which is when the stylist continued to tell her "Because of the extra time and thread it takes to do bangs i charge another 25." When my friend then told her not to do it if it was going to cost more she told her "If you dont want to listen to me you can just get out" Now while she should have, she couldnt her hair was only half done and she looked like a fool with only half of the hair sewn in... I still wonder why the salon owner didnt step in? It was pure incompetence on her part. At this point it became so ridiculous that my friend was visibly upset and hurt by the whole experience. After paying for the extra 25 and leaving she ended up disliking the way it came out. So I'm sorry but do not go to this salon cause you will leave unhappy and most likely with an extra charge you didn't even want. She was so completely rude and disrespectful that I recommend you never even LOOK in Milili's direction.
