I wanted to thank everyone for their honesty on their reviews. With being a new shop owner we have gone through some growing pains over the past months. Your input has been very helpful with changes we have made and are in the process of making. We have a new manager, new help at the front desk, plus new stylist and techs here at the salon. Our Mission Statement as a salon is if you are not satisfied with the service that you have received here at Hair and Nails by Sally let us know with it 24 hours of your service and it will rectify situation. We have been concentrating on our customer service that we provide and will continue to work on a daily basis. There are still some cosmetic areas to the salon that we know that need work and will be taken care of as finances and time allow. We have received high ratings by the Alabama State board of Cosmetology. Thank you again for your honesty on your reviews. If we are unaware of a problem we are unable to correct it

WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE! I had a hair cut, and waxing. My worst experience anywhere so far. First time she walked away from me was while she was washing my hair. She sprayed water on my face and got shampoo in my eyes. She didn't even apologize. I was at the hair washing so long my neck hurt and it still hurts hours later.
I have long hair and asked for it to be layered. The stylist cut way too much off because she couldn't reach up to make it longer. And she kept cutting and cutting. She cut off way more than I wanted. She acted like she was just out of school, a real novice. Also while she was working on my hair she stopped several times to answer the phone and do other things. At the end I had to ask for her to trim my bangs and it looks uneven and she missed a bunch I had to cut myself when I got home. Through out the while trim I was scared. She was rushing and very aggressive with my hair.
I also found it odd that she was the one who would also be doing my waxing.
She did a half assed job and missed a bunch of hair I will now have to do myself.
I have had body waxing several times before and have never had an issue but this time I don't know if it was the wax and I know its common but it hurt like hell after she was done. My underarms looked like they were bleeding a little and my legs we very red and rashy.
Will not be going here ever again!

I've never been to a salon this unprofessional. My friends and I were the only people in the store and were forced to wait far too long for our services. I wanted a plain manicure, something fairly simple that all nail salons should have down pat. Not only did the woman who did my nails make my thumbs bleed when she was grooming my cuticles and did very poor polishing job, but she also took phone calls, ate a banana, and ordered her lunch. By the end, by nails were bleeding and looked like a child had painted them. I will never go back to this salon.

My experience with Hair and Nails by Sally has been absolutely amazing. I have been to Soo many different Salons in Huntsville and Madison, and this one by far is the best. From the customer service to the environment, you wont be disappointed with any of their services. I have struggled in finding a Beautician who really cares about the health of my hair but since I have been coming to Ms. Vivian Grider, my hair is in the most healthiest state its ever been.

Will never go back. Went to get acrylic's put on and it took far to long and they looked terrible and my fingers were bleeding. Also got my eyebrows done and the lady used cold wax, which basically made my eyebrows fall off, she didn't even apologize. Worst nail place in madison.
