Ashley is one of the best hairstylist I've ever been to! My hair is difficult to work with, so few want to even try, or some just leave me in a mess! Not Ashley! She's worked miracles and I go home getting compliments!
Strands has a lot of services to offer, with well trained staff! My favorite new service is the new lashes! Incredible!

I was looking for someone to do my hair while I was in town visiting family. I decided to let someone who reached out to me via Facebook do my hair. While I didn’t know her personally, the photos of hair she did do looked ok online.
First of all, I kept looking around when in the chair and did not see her state license hanging up near her booth. That should of been my first sign to leave. Maybe it was there. Maybe it was underneath her dirty styling tools that I had a hard time noticing anything else or it was hung someplace else. (From my experience most stylists hang their credentials proudly right next to their mirrors or where it’s easily seen from sitting in the stylists chair.) On that note, it wasn’t the cleanest salon I’ve been to. The place could use some upgrades. It still looked the same inside from over 15 years ago from when it used to be a tanning salon. Her scissors even were dull and I recall that she even joked on how they were making a squeaky noise when she was cutting my hair. 😱 Also, according to the Arkansas State Board of Health the haircut cape should never be placed directly against a client’s skin without a protective barrier – either a paper strip, or a salon towel folded and draped around the neck, with the cape placed over that, should be used, which was not used on me.
I left spending over $100 and while it looked nice at the time under fluorescent lighting in the salon, it was late and dark outside from raining. After washing and styling it the next morning and looking at it in natural lighting, I realized that the color wasn’t even close to what I showed her and that she didn’t even trim my bangs like I had asked. Several people commented that it didn’t even look like I had my hair done which was frustrating.
Also, most experienced stylists I’ve been to in the past, upon first consultation, typically ask how I normally wear my hair or style it at home and I don’t recall her ever asking me this. She just asked me what I wanted and I showed her a pic of what I was wanting. I feel like the cut and color she gave me doesn’t even work with my hair texture and how I typically style it at home.
My family told me to just go back up there the next day and have her fix it, but i was afraid she would make it worse. I was so upset I ended up cutting my visit with family short, leaving early that day to go home so I could try and find someone else to fix my hair before we go to the beach and get family photos taken. I’m typically pretty reserved, quiet and don’t like confrontation so I didn’t go back to the salon and say anything like maybe I should have. I usually have anxiety about stylists messing with my hair because of experiences like this, so I initially left a 1-star review, with no comment, but I had their owner try to privately reach out to me about my review that I decided to write a detailed public review about my experience. Overall, I’m just not happy about my hair at all and wanted to leave my honest review. I will not be back.
