DONT GO TO NAIL STAR ON JEFFREY AND ALTON!!!
I have tried this place out 2 times hoping for a better outcome because it is litterally right across the street from my home....but I would rather drive all the way down to the other side of Irvine for better quality and service.
Where do I begin???
My first visit I asked her if she wouldn't mind cutting my cuticles before putting on the tips for my acrylics ( I do it all the time, I have smaill nails) to make more room for the tip....she said "NO!" I thought she was kidding, I have never had this happen. So I said Really? Why not? She said because I only do that after. I wont do it. I tried to explain I do it all the time and it will give me more of a nail bed (my cuticles grow like mad, so they were dry and ready to be trimmed).
At this point Im running late and dont have time to go somewhere else, so I let her do it at the end.
She was very sloppy with the color, she can't pant very well. The polish was coming up on my cuticles and everytime she put nail polish remover on her tiny brush to clean the outside of my nails she took of the polish from my nail leaving a part of my nail with no polish. When she was done painting and putting the top coat I had bubbles all over my nails.
This woman Im referring to (she has big saggy cheeks....kind of like a bull dog....sorry only way to describe her! DONT GO TO HER!) she is very impatient and seems like a miserable person. She wants your nails to looks the way she wants and not the way you want.
On my last and FINAL visit I came in for a fill. As always she was doing a half a$$ job...I kindly asked her to please remove all of my red nail polish before adding more acrylic to my nails because then the red would show through the cream color I was getting.
She became very aggressive and started moving my hands very rough, pushing them back to me to signal to give my other hand.
I was so upset I wanted to cry.
My mother even went there once and received the same horrible service. All they do is talk about you and they make it so noticeable.
They charge way to much for doing a horrible job.
If you want a nice relaxing experience don't go here!

If you want a good experience go to NAILS PARADISE ON IRVINE BLVD AND YALE! It's next to this vet place in the same shopping center as Lampost Pizza and Del Taco.
These girls are THE best! I think Amanda is the manager because she answers the phone and tells people where to sit. I get my nails done by Amy but ALL the girls are great because they are ALL trained by Amanda. They charge fair and make you feel so comfortable. AND THEY REMEMBER YOUR NAME! They even remember what you talked about last. I love them! But they are closed on Sundays :-( Which is why I was stuck going to Nail Star. But they do pink and white the way YOU want and your color looks FLAWLESS every single freaking time!

they had a terrible service! the lady filing my nails cut the skin of my pinky and then she looked mad at me for telling her, I'm never coming back there so don't waste your time.
