I went in several times and spoke to my stylist about donating my hair, which I have done multiple time before. I asked to donate ten inches, she said she recalled the minimum length eight for the charity I donate to and though that my hair would be “too short” if she cut ten. I was disappointed since I asked for ten cut and she cut 7-8 inches anyway. I can only donate half of the hair to a different charity than I researched, and the other seven inches may not be put to the best use. The hardest part is when I confronted my stylist about my inability to donate, she said she definitely cut ten. If a salon advertises that they donate to a certain charity, they should be certain of the charities requirements when donating.
