Today was my first time coming here, and I’ve got to say I didn’t have the greatest experience, I came in for a manicure and the lady who helped me out didn’t clean my nails correctly, I made an effort to show that she wasn’t cleaning my cuticles right, but she didn’t do anything about it. This made me upset, which I then ended up having to go to a different nail salon to be satisfied.

I have been going to this nail shop for about 5 years now, its right down the street and super convenient. About a week about I stopped by requesting for a nail removal and pedicure. It was pretty busy being it was a few days before the fourth of July. The young receptionist who is in her early 20's ask if I can come back around 2pm, sure no problem I need my nails done before work. I went home and was able to soak my nails of, all except for a little bit on three nails but my left hand was totally removed. I arrive to my "appointment " and is told to sit in a chair. Ok, the lady starts my feet and I tell her what color I want. While this newer lady is doing my feet I ask who is going to do my hands? And I can be soaking my other hand while I am waiting. Other women start to "walk in" and get immediate service. I ask again who is doing my nails because someone that came in after me is starting to get her manicure, they say oh Rose. Rose is an individual I had a problem with over a year ago and she was been rough and ripping my acrylics off my hands hurting me. I told her I didn't want her doing my nails. So when Rose is done with a client she comes to me and tells me keep soaking she doesn't want to hurt me. I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years weather acrylics or my natural nails and I am very aware they know how to properly remove whatever it may be. So she skips me and starts working on a woman that carne in after I did. A mother and daughter walks in and they start getting service... umm hellooo? Was I not here before the woman? Am I less important than them? Do I not have money to pay? I started to get upset and the young receptionist tried to make me comfortable by assisting with my nails but by this time I want to know why i was skipped there times!?. No I never raised my voice or used profanity but the frustration of being treated less than the caucasian people who where getting serviced nearly had me in tears. I'm a paying customer and have been for some time now. Its distasteful for you to treat me like that and can only hope it was not because of my face but it sure made my think. There was a man who use to work at this location as well and he would tell me they were talking bad about me in their language saying I was difficult. Am I difficult because I'm paying for a job which you perform for a price? I don't get it, that should have made me stop going but like I said its convenient. But forget convenience when you're being treated unfairly. And because of this I would not reccomend nor ever go again.
